Good for you. I am not crafty but I know how to cross stitch. Last Christmas, my husband's aunt gave me some loom set because she learned that I am interested to learn how to crochet. I can do some basic chains but that's about it and the set she gave me came with step by step instructions on how to make some caps, gloves, scarves and pouches. I havent started yet and its because I have been both busy and lazy. But I do plan to out it to good use.

Congratulations - it is a great skill, as we humans were made to enjoy creating things. I have knitted since we learned to do it at school and I saw my mother and grandma knitting. I became more interested about it when my brother's little daughter was born, as the baby clothes were so fast to make. Really a great and relaxing hobby!
