If you look around our world and universe, we see that it all adds up pretty well. If God's handy work adds up all over the universe, it will add up with the people factor. Let's look at that.
I have heard religions say that people go to Hell for being bad and or not believing what their religion teaches. Since the majority of people belong to different religions does that mean most will go to Hell? So you look out into the world where the majority do not follow your religion, can you picture Hell getting full??
OK, let's go back to God adding up. Does it add up that God would create a system where the majority of His children would go to Hell?? Does this sound like intelligence at work?? It sounds more like Hell is a story religion uses to scare people into believing.
Finally, if your religion teaches that the rest of the world is evil, isn't that an evil thing to do? One can choose to see the Goodness in people and Value that above all else. Yes, one can find Goodness in everyone.

Religious teachings, at least christian ones, don't say that people who didn't hear about God or who are from different religions, go to hell. It's just biassed to say this. Nobody knows who will be in heaven and who will be in hell after this life, because only God can do this judgement (he knows all, all the person thought, did etc.). We just believe it will be a fair judgement and we will benefit from mercy.
It might be easier for somebody who didn't know too much about christianity to go to heaven. I guess the criteria will differ in a lot of points. You can't be judged for something you didn't knew about.
It is said that everybody have his own cross. This means exactly this. Everybody's way to redemption it's different. But everybody receives his own chances, a lot of chances, during this life.
Where religion teaches that the rest of the world is evil?

Spicymary. Do you not know who you really are??? Have you been seduced by this physical world into thinking that is all there is?? We are Spiritual beings in our true natures. This physical world with it's time causal features aids in our lessons. You have always been eternal.
Between lifetimes, we all go to God. We will all know God and God's Unconditional Love that heals all hurt. It has never ever been about punishment. Knowing God,we will want to be just like Him. We will choose to learn more, more lessons, more lives. There will come a point when we will no longer require lessons within a physical world but that is some time away.
OK, there are several things you can do to discover who you are. In the evening after everyone is asleep, close your eyes and focus inward. Say to yourself: It is me. Go from there. If you can block out any sensory input from this physical world, you can more easily see who you are. Next, seek out and talk to the very youngest of children. Many are still able to tell the difference between who they are and this physical world. As we grow older, with so much sensory input from this physical world, is not long before we convince ourselves that this physical world is all there is. Explore further and discover the truth.
I hail to no religion. I was raise christian but when I discovered so much of it didn't add up, it forced me to look elsewhere because I have always been one who wanted to discover the truth regardless of what that truth was. I do not speak from beliefs or faith and I do not value them. I do not wish you or anyone be satisfied with beliefs. I speak only from experience. I will not give anyone all the answers. There is great learning and wisdom acquired in the journey to discovery. I have pointed a couple of directions for you. I placed truth in the world. The rest has never been up to me.

You said it right. Everyone walks their own path. It has never ever been about beliefs or religion. It is about learning and growing as people. There are a million lessons to learn around religion. None of them about God.
As for religion teaching the rest of the world is evil, don't they attempt to teach that a even a little baby is evil and sinful in nature? I have seen and heard so many religious people claim how bad the world is. By convincing people the world is bad, aren't they making the world bad by teaching an evil view of others? Won't this generate hate in some form or other?? I admit with so many people in this world the dynamics of possibilities seem almost infinite.
God gave everyone a different view to guaranty mankind a larger view than any one person could have. This different view allows people to teach each other the missing pieces of view. That is why diversity is a strength.

Don`t worry about Bird, he created his own ideas about God mixing "spiritualism " ( the idea that God is unlimited love and He will love you no matter what ) with reincarnation. The problem is that both of these ideas give a great comfort to anyone`s mind. If God loves me anyway then there is no reason to improve myself. If i will live another life then there is no reason to improve myself in this life.
So this is his idea about God and now he is trying to convince others that their ideas are wrong. ( if you ask me he is trying to convince himself that his ideas are right.)

Actually, no one is good, not even one. We all like to think we're good people, but we aren't, especially when we compare ourselves to a perfect, holy and righteous God who knows us better than we know ourselves.
We all deserve to go to Hell because we've all disobeyed God's laws. So yes, according to what Jesus said, narrow is the road that leads to life and there are FEW who find it, but wide is the road that leads to destruction.
We don't deserve to go to Heaven because we could never be good enough to go there . It's through grace and salvation through Jesus that we get to go to Heaven.
Also, God doesn't send you to Hell, you send yourself there because you choose to reject salvation through Jesus and He gave you a choice that you'll have until the day you die.

Has religion corrupted your thinking to the point you can see absolutely no goodness in anyone??? How sad. You know it doesn't have to be that way for you. Start small. Focus on even some little goodness in another. Make goodness more valuable than the evil you have been taught to see. God does not make junk children. If you really look closely you will discover goodness in everyone.
Never allow others to convince you how rotten you are because you are not. No one deserves to burn in a fiery pit for eternity regardless of any choice they might have made. There must be learning and redemption for justice to exist. That is why God has never created a place called Hell. Hell is an invention of mankind in order to gain the only thing they want which is followers. Don't believe the stories they teach. Look closely and discover the stories do not add up. Everything about God does.

Bird: It isn't that there isn't good in even the bad but no one is perfect in themselves. They can only be perfect through Christ but we have to accept His grace for it is sufficient for those who are wanting it. There are actually people who don't want to go to heaven if they must do without their favorite thing if it can't be allowed in heaven. Why do you thing God is going to punish the wicked for ever? The Bible says he is bring the New Jerusalem back to this earth. People can't burn forever if he is going to make this earth over.

Why go there and be burned? Heaven is real, everyone can choose to go there now instead. Oh well, hell is so real too. I don't think it would be full though. Just to answer your curiosity :D I dont have any idea.

Hi bird: Only according to some fundamentalist persons. That's a human way of thinking, not God's almighty way of seeing his creation. I am more to think that God will see our hearts and who we really are in a judgement rather than what religion do we make part of or the "human" rules we set to put a difference between a person and another.

Well, I'm big on truth. Frying your kids for eternity without the possibility of redemption is not an intelligent way to run things. If you look around you, clearly, it is obvious God has intelligence. It's all simple Math. Everything about God will always add up. Those holy book stories don't.

Heaven & hell are the imagination of the human mind, for that matter even God is the result of human imagination.Religion is just a futile attempt of imbibing morals into the masses which, as seen has failed miserably in the past & still is failing.Human conscience is the greatest religion on the earth all other religions are just deluding the people.

xanderkage. Religion is mankind's attempt to understand God. They do have a long way to go on this one. You are right that religion is also trying to control and define the morals and actions of people many times through threats and intimidation. Using and thereby teaching the use of petty things such as threats is evil. Many religions also put people down teaching that people are naturally evil and flawed. This too is an evil action which teaches evil actions. If religion would only do like science and correct their errors, they would grow toward the truth.
You are right in that our choices come from our understanding of our actions. This has nothing to do with religion. God returns our actions back to us in time so that we understand what our choices really mean. This is not restricted to one mere lifetime.
Yes, I'm afraid God does exist. I have direct experience to this. If God exists, then God can be found. If you base your concept of God on what religion has been teaching, you will not believe in God because that God could not exist. In this time based causal universe, God's actions can be seen. This was the start on my journey to discover God. Remember, this is very important. Everything about God will always add up. This will keep you on the right path.
If you are wise and use your intelligence well, you will be surprised at what you discover. Reality is so much better than all those religious stories.
Oh, in case you do not know, Believing has never ever been important to God. See,reality is different. Where would religion be without believers and followers? God's system requires neither. Look around you. It stares us all in the face.

That is true, the universe that we lived in right now is full of corruption... but i would say that we have already been cleansed this way.. probably only a few more tweeks and everything could all be better than what was going on in the day of the war, the barbarians, immorality was more rampant then than now - when you look at how the romans lived before, i would say you would be shocked as to how they were. People are now more civil, educated but yes poverty has got to the best of all of us though.
I'd say yes, probably hell is full.. but then spirits do not take up so much space, right? haha just trying to be funny though. but on a serious note, i'd say that hell indeed is probably one of those created so that we would be afraid to make some grave mistakes on this life... we can never be sure. no one has gone there and come back to tell us what heaven or hell is. It could even be happening here in our world right now, heaven is here and hell too is with us depending on how we lived our lives.

Our actions do return to us to teach us what our choices really mean. I guess that could seem like Hell for some.
Yes, you are right. If you take a look at this world, God's system for education is working. Mankind is learning and moving more toward wisdom every day. I know I wouldn't want to live in Roman times. This means that mankind's future will be bright when little by little we learn to overcome the problems and the hate so many hold onto. Wouldn't it be interesting to watch it all happen?

A nice thought with lots of emotional quotients. Most of your questions are answered in your comments i.e. in last two lines. For some people heavenly life is enjoyed to avail hell in later stage of life.

Life is really beautiful when we start thinking good.... do not involve with religions... look at that as a guidness of people to increase their knowlege about good and bad.... hell and heaven is inside of us... what is evils you talk about? the most terrible evil maybe the main one in my idea is ignorance and ignorance is not to have knowlege about something... ignorance is base of any sins of humanbin.
you will get whatever your mind think and make....
so think about good things...
all religions has only and only one thing to say:
think good, talk good, behave good it is equal to: real humanity
so what is the result of that good?
scientist research shows when you think good and do good you recieve incredibly good and happiness
opposite of that also is true...
so we have chance to choice...
and that is hell and heaven= ignorance or knowlege

You have really come up with the true answer. Intelligence always makes the right choices. Anything else brings the lessons to teach us what the real answers are.
Yes, I will always choose to value the goodness in others. I will always choose Happiness. I will always hunger and strive to increase knowledge.
