The many sessions of spiritual discourses in several parts of the country attract large gathering of interested people. However does those vociferous talk help in transforming individuals to perform good deeds all the time in their course of living. It is much doubtful whether the lending of a patient hearing bring in welcome changes in personalities.

Spiritual discourses, especially on prominent Spiritual TV channels have become very popular. Hundreds of people attend such discourses, many of which are telecast live. This has no doubt given awareness to spirituality to the general public.Nowadays we find very young preachers giving discourses on various spiritual topics which are lapped up by the eager listeners, both in the audience and also by the TV audience. Most of these preachers come armed with the gift of the gab but i doubt whether they are truly qualified to give such discourses as most of them have only bookish knowledge. Amongst the thousands of people who attend such gatherings, i am sure that less than a handful would really ponder and contemplate on what has been told to them and even less than that would make an attempt to bring major changes in their thinking and lifestyle. For most people it is a form of ' spiritual entertainment ', a break from the humdrum of daily existence and all its rigors. Such spiritual gatherings help, at least for a little while, the people to forget their daily troubles and soothe the sorrows which they encounter in the course of life.

yeah, the desire of people to get connected and seek deep meanings and purpose in life keeps these people from coming and listening to the spiritual discourses and seminars. in every person, there lies a vacuum needs to be filled. usually, spiritual discourses fill in the vacuum. at times, they do not fulfill anything, but the need is there. what they can do?

Bear in mind that change is the only permanent thing in life, and all the wonderful changes we desire should begin with ourselves. Unfortunately the rush for worldly material gains have made many people neglect their spiritual welfare until something hopelessly wrong happen in life. And people start questioning what good is it to have the whole world when the soul is in hunger. It is not surprising to see many born again christians who have been led astray by the glitters of the world come back to the fold after attending sessions of spiritual discourses. I have no doubt the power of God is at work through the great preachers at these spiritual discourses.
