Over the years, I have been looking and searching for the one and only True Church by which the founder Himself said, "and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". In other words, the Tue Church shall not be buried to the ground or that it shall not ceased to exist.
Altogether, the whole christian world agree that the founding anniversary of this one and only True Church happened in 30 AD, on the celebrated day of Pentecost, when those who believed and followers of Jesus, the Christ/Messiah received the Holy Spirit of God (Acts 2).
From thereon, the receipt of the Holy Spirit becomes one of the identifying signs or the evidence of who the Real/True Christians are (or those who truly belongs to Christ). Romans 8:9, "But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man HAVE NOT THE SPIRIT of Christ, he is NONE of His".
The Holy Bible gives us active and living testimonies or evidences for anyone who has truly received the Holy Spirit of God;
1. Prophesying - Num. 11:24-25, I Sam. 10:10, Luke 1:67, Acts 2:17-18, Acts 19:6
2. Speaking of Tongues - Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:6
If you are one of those who truly experienced of the above-mentioned evidences, then you are the one I am looking for, Please let me know your STORY and I promise to listen.

Hi 1hopefulman, greetings. Sorry I cannot greet you with your real name cause I do not know it, but just the same you are my superman.
Honestly and in answer to your question, NOT YET. Not that there are no good and righteous people around but ONLY according to biblical standards.

Hi, I don't want to argue with you or anything, but I don't believe that speaking in tongues and prophesying are signs of the true religion.
Part of 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 says that Faith, Hope and Love would remain, but Prophesying and speaking in tongues would cease.
The prophesying and speaking in tongues were no longer needed after they had accomplished their purpose.
But…Faith, Hope and Love, are fruits of God’s spirit, and they are precious qualities that remain in the lives of true Christians:)

The One True Christian church is the body of believers, not a religion.
And just because someone doesn't speak in tongues or prophesies, doesn't make them any less of a Christian.
"For God so loved the WORLD, He gave His only Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES in HIM shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Hello dlkuku/Hopefull90, greetings. My heartfelt thanks and appreciation of your inputs and comments. Nevertheless, I believe you missed the point/issue of what I have presented.
It is the receipt of the Holy Spirit the main issue here. Speaking in tongues as well as prophesying are the solid evidences to that effect, as far as the Holy bible is concerned. I just hope you take time reading all the biblical verses presented.
All the best and happy mylotting.

I don't believe that everyone needs to be able to receive prophesy or speak in tongues to be a true Christian. I have predicted things that have come true but I still am not a prophet. I believe that speaking in tongues should have a reason like being able to learn the language of the people you have been sent to with the message of Christ. Another method God has used is having the people hear in their language even though the speaker was not speaking in their tongue. That is what happened at the Pentecost as well as some of the disciples being able to speak in other languages.

Are you telling me that unless you prophesy or speak in tongues, you are not in the Spirit?

Hi silvercryst, greetings. First I would like to say your comment is highly appreciated. However, I believe you have missed the main issue of my presented discussion, just like the other respondents above.
I wish you could go back again to Romans 8:9 to see what it really talks about. Simply put, It is a comparison between those (living) in the FLESH or in the SPIRIT. Those who have the indwelling (or have received) the Holy spirit are said to be (living) in the spirit. Anyone who has not received the Spirit of Christ, he is NONE of His. Or it does not belong to Christ/the true believers/the real and true Christians. A real Christ's/true Christian then is one who have truly received the Holy Spirit of Christ/God, plain and simple.
This is what I am trying to emphasized. Prophesying and/or speaking in tongues are only tangible manifestations of those who have truly received the Holy Spirit at least, according to the Bible.
All the best mangtony.

I'm sorry if I missed your point. If I'm not the only one who missed the issue, then something's wrong in how you wrote the discussion. I believe that the general understanding is what I (with the respondents above) understood. If we have no disagreements, then everything's fine here.
God bless!

Hi Mavic, greetings. My sincere appreciation for sharing with us. I considered myself a lost sheep separated from the flock from a very long time. My master has gone to heaven, the human shepherds as well as the other sheeps was nowhere to find.
Good I have the writings, the Holy Bible. It is the only way by which to identify those who faithfully adheres and follows its teachings. It may be long and a hard way but I know I will find them or that my master will be the one to find me, sooner or later...
All the best mangtony.

So if someone cannot speak in tongues does it means she is not a real christian?/
I am believer of Christ since i was born. I've been blessed with so many trials in my life. Indeed my faith is very huge, however i cannot speak in tongues. On the contrary, I know i have a very intimate relationship with God, That is for sure.
