Hi dear Mylotters, Valentines Day is knocking our doors and different people of different countries will celebrate this day in different ways. Most of the young people will accept and celebrate this day as their love day. What is your plan? How will you celebrate this day?

i don't have any plans to do in Valentine's day. I never celebrate it during my life even when I was a teenager. some of my friends, of course, celebrate it though on a simple way like giving chocolate to someone they like, or just giving a card or little gift to their beloved ones. I never care abut this celebration cos there's no culture in my family to celebrate it. Valentine's day is just like another day. I like stores decorate themselves in pink and flowers are everywhere but I don't celebrate it. I'm married now and my husband also doesn't care at all with this day. I don't mean to say something bad about this day. I like watching my friends wearing pink clothes and bringing gifts or flowers, but yeah, i just like the atmosphere but not celebrate it.

Hi Humaira, thank you very much for your response and participation in my discussion. I am also not a big lover of Valentines day. I only enjoy it by watching TV and internet and magazines. Have a very nice day.

My husband is not a big believer of this day, and since he's working off-shore, it would just be me and my in-laws on valentine's lol! It's alright though, I am not really a big Valentine follower because everyday my husband makes me feel loved.

Yeah, Valentine's Day is fast approaching and love is in the air. Me? maybe I will just celebrate Valentine's Day with my boyfriend over the phone. We are in a long distance relationship and we cannot be able to be together on Valentine's Day because of each work's demand. Well, it'll just alright with us because we'll gonna just celebrate our post Valentine on April..

Well, we always celebrate ours with a combination Wedding anniversary, Valentines day celebration, as our anniversary is on the 13th. We always try and take time to get away somewhere and go out for a nice dinner and just relax.

In many countries this is not a celebration day at all, might be some shops try to force you into it. In my country it's not also not in the country my husband lives. So nobody is knocking on the door. Ever thought about the fact St Valentine doesn't exist in many countries at all? BTW St stands for Saint.. so it already says enough about the religion it belongs to. What I wonder is how come people seem to think they all need to celebrate each celebration day even if it's not from the religion they join. How come they also make a complete different celebration out of it? Can you tell me? BTW does anyone who celebrates Valentine is more Western orientated as those who are not?

Hi friend, thank you very much for your response and participation in my discussion. You are very right. Valentines day is not celebrated in all the countries and it is still not a festival occasion for all the people. Before two years, we have never hard about it. I could know it first in 1997, when I was in RAF College, Cranwell, UK. After that Valentines day is gradually becoming favorite to many people. Have a very nice day.
