Another female keeps coming between me and my husband....

A few weeks ago, I started a discussion about about the "problems" I am having with another female who keeps monopolizing my husband's time--our elderly cat, Cleo! LOL. Well, another female is now seeking to come between us--our younger female cat, Sookie. She and Cleo don't get along too well, so Sookie sleeps in our room and Cleo sleeps on the couch in a pile of blankets (when she isn't sleeping on my husband's lap, of course). Sookie started out by sleeping at the end of the bed, usually on my side (I am shorter, so there's more space for her). But she has recently made a discovery--it's warmer if she sleeps between us than if she only sleeps near one of us. So, lately, she has started sleeping between us. It used to be that she slept between our feet or legs, but now she is slowly but surely moving up the bed every night. By the morning, she is either right between our heads just below the pillows, or she is actually on the pillows with us, purring away, with her tail in somebody's face--usually my husband's. No wonder he ends up on the couch with Cleo! LOL. And, of course, when she decides to wake up (usually between 5-6 am) she meows at us and pokes us in the face with her paw. It is very cute, but it keeps me awake half the night. Then I finally fall back asleep and she is meowing at me! But I don't have the heart to force her to sleep elsewhere, especially because she is so comfortable... As you can see, the cats pretty much rule our house, maybe second only to the kids. But usually it's the cats!

And that's how it should be my friend. Cats are so adorable, cute and - above all - WARM! Beats a hot water bottle any day!

Yes, my cat goes on my pillow sometimes. I love listening to her breathe and purr, it gets me off to sleep, then I wake up with a stiff neck as she's moved further onto the pillow so I end up on the corner lol.

I usually end up completely off the pillow, hanging onto the edge of the bed for dear life. When I have a cat AND a kid next to me, it's even worse!!!

Yes, the few nights that she decides to stay downstairs are definitely less exciting--but I do get more sleep..... I do like it when she comes close to me and she is purring and purring--it is very cute. Sometimes she even gives me a "kiss"....but only at night. During the day, she is very independent--until she wants something, of course.

I sleep with a mass of cats, but its just me and the cats in the bed. I'm sure if I did have a husband, he'd be jealous!

No doubt!!! My husband doesn't get jealous; he just gets grumpy. So he heads down to the couch and gets to sleep with our other cats!

LOL, too funny! I have 2 cats, Dexter and Izzy. They keep me so amused, and yes, they like to sleep on the bed.

Do they sleep there during the day, too, or just at night? My cat Sookie doesn't sleep there at all during the day (when it wouldn't bother me)--only at night when I'm trying to sleep!

That's so cute! Did she ever jump out at you to play? One of my former cats used to hide underneath our bed, and pounce on our feet every time we got close! He thought that was a great game...LOL

This is a bit like our house. We have cats that live indoors, we have four of those and then there are two others that let themself in and out as they plaese. Our indoor cats are made to sleep in the living room, as well as coservatory, where as the out door cats tend to look for a bad up stairs to sleep on. The cats that we have that are indoor/outdoor cats like to bring us a gift and that is usually a mouse, usually a live still, not great.
