Many japanese reporters could enter and are now reporting this, could this be true? That people are actually canibalizing their own kids because hunger there is in a level that it has never reached before? Isn't UN gonna do anything?????

Oh my! Is this real? Poor people. They have no choice then. I wish UN will do something to restore their life.

Well we always have the choice to not be cruel while eating. I find it amazing how does some powerful armies begins a war but in this case no one is doing anything. I saw pictures of very thin kids, it's heart breaking.

This is horrifying terrible, if true. Although I wonder where and how such story came out of North Korea, I did saw a documentary years ago where a doctor was allowed into the country to treat people there who have cataract. His photos of a five year old boy was compared to another five year old boy living in South Korea and the difference was evident. The boy from North Korea looked like a malnourished toddler instead of a growing healthy boy. They have been suffering from hunger for years, and I could only wonder how they deal with it.

For me watching Amistad and Schindler's List was horrible, can't imagine a real documentary about human suffering, so it is true? I pray this comes to an end as all ancient evils, we are in a new century, these cruelties should be banished by now.

Hi katie: I honestly hope this is just a myth and not really happening because it's too horrible. I just know they suffer from extreme hunger and that their government is not helping because they are more concentrated on their nuclear program rather than people's needs. ALVARO

I doubt this is true. Might be someone did. All over the world people are hungry and they never did eat their children. What I do wonder is how come everybody Always seem to think the UN has to change this. Any idea how many people world wide are in need? How many people in UN countries are poor and in high need as well? Might be a good idea to put all these pregnancies/births to a halt. If you are not able to take care of yourself you can surely not take care/feed your children. Help is only helpfull if people are able to manage themselves. So they should be able to have grow their own food to start with. I have been in African countries, there many people look down on farming, growing their own food. Not smart enough to understand that if you do so at least you have something to eat! What is left over you can sell or change for what you need. BTW even if people would eat all their children in North Korea, what will they eat next? Since there is not much meat on a child, not for long. It also takes long to "breed" new meat. It doesn't make sense to me. Might be a sign, asking for attention for a situation?

I haven't thought about it, indeed it could make someone not think straight. Indeed there's the psychological aspect of it.

I do not think that this is actually happening. Plus if this is happening, then there should be news (official that are release in news websites, or in cnn. Japan is not far away from us here in SouthEast Asia and if this is true that japanese are allowed to enter, i think they would not even be allowed to say these things, or they would not have left the premises of N. Korea?

I have just read the shocking news: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2269094/North-Korean-parents-eat-children-driven-mad-hunger-famine-hit-pariah-state.html#axzz2KTWqnRbU And I think that the government of North Korea should do something about it. I wasn't even sure that Korea had people that could really suffer from being famish.

But it's the government of North Korea that is making people living in misery.
