i think am those people who like a status quo on the things i use.i hate it when i have to get a new cell phone and have to learn another menu and a way to do things.even with other electronics i at times have to let my husband do the setting up for me.i dont like dealing with wiring up things or fixing gadgets.are you the adventurous person who will buy a new electrical item and come use it without referring to someone else ,or are you read the manual and get going or are you like me,do it for me and then show me the simplest way and what gadgets trouble you?

I love to keep manual for future reference. I love to have new gadgets but it doesn't fits my budget so I have to stick with my current gadget. Reading manual before anything else, I think, is important. You would learn everything from do's to don'ts.

Between me and my husband, I am the more enthusiastic to learn new things. And when there is a new gadget in the house, I am sure to be the one to teach whoever how it is used and where to go. I have fun doing it. I think it has been my nature to be always wanting to know how, where and when. Maybe it is brought about by the way i was brought up. My dad would always tell me to find out myself how something works before coming to him if I really do not know how to do it myself.

Thanks, pomwango! I am really doing my best to teach my kids everything that my parents have taught me. Of course, when I was a kid, I would think that what they say was too much. But now that I am a parent, i have realized that no parent would actually give their children advice that is not useful for them in the future.

No, not really. gadgets do not bother me, and usually my mom would ask me to read the instruction for her gadgets and ask me to explain to her and to give her a demo. haha so i am basically used to just referring to manuals and go from there. I would eventually just get used to using the things i have as i use them. =) Of course when it comes to a more complicated gadget, i would still ask my brother who is a bit of a technical persn to look into it, otherwise, i'd be fine with it.

Hi,
Not at all, I am a computer technician, and being trained on technical matters, can handle any new gadget by just skimming the manual that comes with it. Even long before a gadget is out, reviews about it do help a lot in understanding how to use it. I love innovations and I can't wait to lay my hands on the latest and the fastest, what keeps me from it is the prohibitive price you have to pay in order to to get it. That's what I hate about them. If I could only get for a song and a dance, I would gladly do.

I don't care about the new gadgets at all. I keep my Phone as long as it works. I only need to make calls with it and texting plus 2 simcards. The rest I am not interested at so I won't waste time to find out how blue tooth is working. I am also not willing to pay extra to internet with my Phone etc. It's a waste of money. BTW I do wonder why people are so willing to do so at a very small screen but at the same moment want a big computer/laptop. That doesn't make sense at all. What I do find annoying is that those who do invent all these gadgets, new phones etc Always seem to think the whole world does know what they are talking about. We all change our phones, computers every 2-3 months to stay update. Personally I think it's just a way to make money since as soon as you buy the newest "tool" it's already "old" again.

What you say is so true, just use what you have and enjoy it, keeping up with new gadgets is an unnecessary expense yet the difference at times is not that big, plus if it can do the basics of what you need why keep upgrading just for the show of being in the trend.

I have rarely seen people who don't love to use new gadgets. Yes it is true that initially we face some problem but once we get acquainted, then it is altogether fun. I love using new cell phones. Every time when I see a new cell phone or any other gadget, I love to surf it & find its new features etc.

In the past I do keep the manuals because I could refer to them easily. This was when I still bought Nokia phones because they were the trend at that point. When the iPhones became popular I kind of disliked having manuals because everything can be learned and explored as you go. I hate buying complicated electronic gadges so what I usually do is just leave my sister to it. I think as the years went on I have become impatient probably because I've been used to easily exploring things on a touch screen.

I am always curious when new gadgets come out on the market. Technology advances more and more and the benefits are endless. I am not usually the first one to buy but the interest pushes me in the direction of the gadget.
