As we all must be now aware of what happened on 9th February 2011 i.e. Afzal Guru (the prime suspect in Parliament Attack 2001)was hanged till death in Tihar Jail, New Delhi at 8am. He is suspected to be a major planner of the Parliament attack that took place on January 13, 2001. But the irony was that neither his family nor any of his relatives were informed of his hanging. As per Indian Govt., a registered post or speed post was being sent on his address to inform his family of his death sentence that they have not received till date. The family members have been shocked to hear the news of the hanging on national television. It was a secret hanging where his family did not even get to see his face the last time, where he himself did not get to talk just last two three sentences with his loved ones. This is what we all are proud of - 21st Century Indian Democracy.Should we really feel proud about this?
What do you people think about it?

I am not sure if we should be proud of Afzal Guru hanging. The case was not clear and a open and shut case like that of Ajmal Kasab. A lot of evidence against Afzal Guru was circumstancial and there was no proof that he was actually the mastermind. Or that is what he claims. He still maintained he was framed and was conspired against. Well the government had to show they were tough against terror and crime. Their image was under constant attack. They had to do something. I wonder if we have really hanged him in the first place and secondly have we really hanged the actuall culprit.
