Since we have got the oportunity to buy staying at home in front of the computer, I've already bought several items online on ebay. I also thought to use Amazon, but I havn't used it yet. Who has used this site (Amazon) and how was your experience?

I have shopped with Amazon a few times, some good and some bad. The times that were bad was from non stores (i.e. random people). I will only buuy from known stores or companies such as Black & Decker.

Sometimes we just give to much credit, or trust in people. I learnt the hard way luckily it wasn't items that were worth a lot of money.

I prefer Amazon to eBay, mostly because I hate bidding, it's a waste of time. If I want to buy something, i'd rather buy it there and then, not fight someone for it until one of us wins. I use Amazon for everything from headphones to handbags, it's all cheap and easy. I bought a cheapish smartphone a few weeks ago, it came within the time limit they gave me, but it had a settings problem. I contacted the seller and told them my situation, and they came back to me within hours, no daily waits. It was excellent service.

It's always nice to recieve an excelente service. There are many companies outside which don't give any service after having sold their items. Regarding the bidding on ebay, we really have to spend plenty of time watching if someone bids and looking forward to the time when its finish. Even though, we can save a lot of money, but I don't have the time neither to follow the biddings, so I already lost some items I wanted to buy.

I use Amazon more than eBay. Their customer service is great but you do have to watch the Marketplace sellers. Every once in a while I get an item that's not quite like they described it. It normally doesn't take much to straighten things out.

That's right, the description is very important to a buyer as you don't see the item in front of you and cannot touch it, but many sellers don't care.

Hi, I am aware of Amazon but my first online purchases was in ebay. I also make it a point not to purchase items that are priced beyond USD30, there are customs and cargo forwarding charges that the overall cost of the item made it equivalent to the ones on the stores downtown. Some are even priced lower like the SKX007 Seiko diver I just purchased which cost me only USD196. It cost almost USD200 on Amazon, add to that shipping, custom charges and the interminable waiting not to mention theft along the way, beats having the item on my wrist right after I counted out the money from my wallet.

I have shopped at Amazon and ebay and I have to say that I am torn between the two. With Ebay you can use Paypal for purchases and with Amazon you can use gift cards. My buying experience with both were pretty good; The phone case I bought from ebay was chipped when I got it but it wasn't too big of a deal. The camera that I bought from Amazon arrived a day before schedule and was in pretty good condition; plus the price was amazing. I think Amazon and Ebay both may have a pretty comparable stock of items to choose from. I guess it would really depend on price and cost of shipping.
