A few months back me and my husband started potty training our daughter. Finally the other day after months of telling her she actually used the toilet and peed in. Of course it's still a work in progress and she has only done it 4 times in the past 2 days which is a good start. She still doesn't quite understand that she has to use the bathroom every time she feels that she has to go. Right now she still wants to go to the bathroom to wash her hands to play in the water only. But I'm so proud of her and got all excited that she finally did it.
So you know she just turned 2 so it's a big surprise that she actually did it. Every time she use the toilet instead of going in her pull up she gets a treat till she get's it down every time. I'm so ready to have one baby out of pull ups. I will still have one in diapers but that I can deal with.

That is so lovely. She is a fast learner, you must be really proud of her. I want to potty train train my son and I don’t have a clue of how to begin. He is now 17 months old.

She wanted to wear pull ups after seeing her cousin wearing them and he is 5 years old. She didn't start wearing pull ups till she was 22 months. When go her use to sitting on the potty with the pull ups on till she wasn't scared of it. Now she isn't scared of it and to get her to use to sitting on the potty we gave her chocolate now we took that way and she gets chocolate when she uses the potty.

You should definitally start trying by 2.5 years old if he doesn't show interested by then. Some kids you have to start even when they show no interested because they might not have anyone to look up to or just want to be stubborn.

Potty training can be a struggle for a child. It can also be a breeze. It is a happy moment for both parent and child when the potty training finally pays off. It is a big part of growing up.

We've been going off of my daughter she just turned 2 a week ago so I don't expect her to use the potty every day but it's a good start to know she did and I made her feel good about it as well. So we will keep working on it and take it as her little speed.

We are just starting this process with our almost 3 year old son, and so far, while we haven't taken it too seriously, not much has happened. We know he's basically ready, he's just not that interested. He's starting to want to wear underwear instead of diapers so we're going to jump on that and get started on my husband's next set of days off.

What I an ipad and put the potty time on it it has helped a lot. Every time she goes potty it calls me daughter and tells her how well she does. She loves going but she also see the bathroom as a fun time still to wash her hands or get in the tub so we are trying to teach her you potty in the potty. She know she is suppose to but doesn't understand how it feels to much she still just goes when she needs to go instead of holding it. Some times she'll tell you before she gos or after she goes. She has the peeing in the potty but she still has accidents in her pull up. She wants to be like her big cousin. He is 5 and doing potty training.
