I credit this discussion to one of the mylotter's answer. I was going through different mylot discussions and I saw a reply that strike me and I thought why now we also try this idea. The person said in the answer to create a wishlist on the things we need to or want to buy and keep it and to buy things after we earn money for each of the wishlist things. I think I will also try to keep a wishlist and try to follow the thing. I am putting some things in the wishlist as dual sim mobile and long term may be solar system when I earn enough money. Do you have a wishlist and do you think this idea good and what are the things you will add in the wishlist?

Really it is a good idea. My wish is for any solar device like solar lamp, solar charging batteries, pen drives, or any other useful thing for day to day life

Mavic...I have owned a E-Bike (battery operated bike) going on 6 years now...and it has saved me a fortune! The only big outlay I have had with it in that time, is new batteries. I ride the bike daily, to and from work, about 18kms...for all shopping...and it has saved me around $2000.00 a year, or about $12,000.00 in the six years. I live on the West Coast of Canada, and ride it in winter, including snow. The only way to GO! And it is very kind to the environment..no emissions!

Oh that is good and it coincides with planning as well. at least with this you can always revisit the wishlist and see how it goes. :D i think that is going to be great if you are able to make it work.
What I did right now is to basically create a list of the things i need to pay for, and from where i am getting the money from. this way i would be able to match those that still needed funds. I have carefully planned this so i would not be delayed on my payments for bills and so on. :D

thank you ajithal! =) yup that is true writing down what you want and need and what still has to be paid for helps especially in times of you budgeting and allocating what cash you have... often we would miss out on some items on our must pay bills especially if we did not list it down. =) hope it is going well for you and your list! :D

I do feel that there are a few things that I would like, however the things that I want money just can not buy, lol.
I feel that are a few things that I would like in the future will cost way to much and I will never be able to save for them in all my life time.
It sounds a great idea, as that way you have things also to aim for in the wish list.

A solar system, huh? That's a great goal for long-term savings. When you're ready to consider buying one, don't forget to come back here to discuss it. I have a little experience with solar systems, and I think there are some people here who depend totally on solar power.
Right now, a wishlist won't do me much good. I'm not saving any of my online earnings. Every cent I make is going straight toward paying off my credit card balances. I paid almost $200 extra last month and it felt great. I hope I can earn that much again this month but I've been sick and slacking a bit.

Solar system do require lots of money and that is one of the reason I am putting it in a long-term and hope to save money for it. I will certainly let notice here in discussion when I buy them.
It is good to finish the credit car balances and I think most probably your first wishlist might be to finish the credit card balance.

Hi That's really good . The online earned money is helping you to clear your credit card balances. So far i did not spend any of my online earned money and its $200 so far. I hope/ to earn more and more. But i didn't keep any such goal/wish i didn't use the money just because i didn't get the need. But now i wish to prepare a wishlist as to how to spend money.

Wishlists and setting small goals is a very good idea. Keep our minds on what we want to attain is very important. Keeps us on the topic and not buying other things and gettng off track.

Yeah that is a good idea. I always have a wishlist, but my major purchase is my last thing as of now. I am trying to reach money for that and that is it, because that is a huge purchase for me and it is something that I never really thought about buying until now. Yes I think that a wishlist is awesome and everyone should do that, because it does keep you motivated and it is a lot of fun.

I also think it is good idea and I like the idea very much and so I started the discussion on it so that more people will be aware about the wishlist. I think I think most probably you can try to save money and try to buy things in the wishlist one by one.

Hi, there. I usually make a mental note on what I wish to have or plan to have something and normally about having a trip to somewhere hehe... A wishlist is indeed a good idea to motivate as well as discipline oneself to be more organized to reach his or her goals. I am actually impressed with one of nephews. I went to my older sister's house a couple of years ago and I saw a wishlist of the older nephew stick on his bedroom wall. He was 13 back then and it made me smile when I saw a sidenote of how much more he has to achieve. It's kinda good reminder that when we do things the right way, the end result is a bliss.

Creating a wishlist to buy something is a good thing to do, because it motivates us to save our money to buy those things we listed. I also have my wishlist. I would like to buy a car and a house. I have planned this wishlist since two years ago, but the money still insufficient to fulfill one of those things. I hope next year I will buy my new house first, whether it is by paying the down payment or full payment. I really need those two things so that I would be confident to ask my girlfriend to marry me.

I do not necessarily have a wishlist, but I do have some goals and I do try to earn towards them. It does make earning more fun when we can see what our result will be. I hope this works for you. I am trying to save for some remodeling supplies for my home.

I do NOT ever want to have a life that is "buried in credit card debts"...so that is ONE thing that has been my guidance. Prioritize wants and needs, and work towards that goal. I do appreciate "whatever it is" when I have worked and saved for it....and sometimes it even gets crossed off my list before I even purchase it, as thinking about it that long, it does not seem a real necessity or need..or wish! It saves me the stress of juggling my budget..or robbing Peter to pay Paul (as the old expression goes)!

I'm familiar of wishlist. But I never created one before. But I do remember the things that I wish to purchase very much. It comes with having to review them inside my head over and over again every night before I sleep. Maybe that's my wishlist but just to be sure, maybe I might write them down, numbering them depending on priority.
