A lot of fresh fruit and vegetables filter through my diet each day. I also eat alot of fish and chicken. Nuts and raisins are good snacks for me. I do like my desserts though. A tasty treat has to balance out the day. I try to stay away from caffeine and I have cut back on cola products and try to drink more juices and water. Good health is something we may not get a second shot at so we should do well with what we have.

Hi sender, thank you very much for your response and sharing of your knowledge. Yes eating of fruits and vegetables are very good and doctors always suggest these foods after certain age. Cheese, meat etc are suitable for teen aged boys and girls but for other people fruits and vegetables are suitable to prevent diseases. Have a very nice day.

I eat a lot of rice, fish, meat and eggs. My staple food is obviously rice and I usually eat it with other food like vegetables, beef, omelettes and many others. As you are from Bangladesh of course you eat a lot of pulse and chapatti. That is nice also, I like eating it sometimes with curry.

You seem you to have quite a lot of experience in tasting varieties of food. I am not really adventurous in terms of food. However, along the way the western food has amazed me quite a lot, and it's quite easy to find western restaurants in my country. Steak, fries, salad, spaghetti, burger, pizza are those that I like.
Have a nice day to you too. Hope to see you around!

Hi friend, thank you very much for your response and sharing of your knowledge. I have tasted the foods of Saudi Arabia and Arab Emirates. Almost similar taste with Bangladeshi foods, with minor variation. Insh Allah, very soon, I would taste your foods, as well. Have a very nice day. During my student life (in 1988), one Group of Taablig Jamaat (to invite people towards Islamic Culture) came to Bangladesh. I was with those Malaysian brothers for 3 days. At that time, I had the opportunity to taste your food, as well. Have a very nice day.

Chicken, brown rice or multigrain noodles are a main stay in our house. We are not big red meat eaters. Lettuce salad with veggies is a treat as well.
As have gotten older really took a look at family history and started to get serious about the foods we eat. There are so many additives and chemicals in everything anymore so processed meats and when can get it we get organic grown veggies and eggs.
Am going to have to get serious about starting that garden next year because the cost of food has gone up so much this last year.

Hi, thank you very much for your response and participation in my discussion. You are very right. Now-a-days, people are mixing carbohydrates, formalin to preserve fruits, meats, fishes etc, which are creating tremendous health problems.
Dear you have the opportunity to produce crops and vegetables and you must utilise it but we are away from our village area and cannot do it and largely depend on market for all these food stuffs. Have a very nice day.

HI!
Here in my place, we eat almost all kinds of dish. We had the rice as our main food, then in complementary with rice, we have our viand, which can be pork, beef, veggies, etc. Normally, we use spoon and fork when eating but some are trying on chopsticks. And we have all of it every meal, and that is of course, breakfast, lunch and supper..then in between meals we will have snacks, but that is already up to certain individual.

In the Philippines, our basic foods are rice, fish, chicken, pork, beef, veggies and fruits. Filipinos love sweets and a little spicy foods. We love to eat and we love to cook so we are doing a little twist on other Asian cuisine.

I really don't think that I am able to pinpoint just a few foods that I would say are my main foods. Instead, I tend to be the kind of person that does eat a large variety of different foods.
What I am able to say is that I know that I eat a lot of different grains and also a lot of fruits and vegetables as well. I do eat meat on a daily basis, but this isn't something that I eat as much as those other things that I've mentioned.

Rice is our staple food here in Malaysia. Fish, meat and vegetable are our usual dishes. Noodle and rice vermicelli are the alternatives when we want a change. Bread and steaks are popular too. There is a trend here that we are taking less meat and having more vegetable. We are more conscious with eating healthily than a few years ago.

Hi Maurya, thank you for your response and sharing your knowledge. Your food habit is good for you but these foods are not suitable for incoming babies. You should eat some protein like milk, butter etc if you do not like to eat fish and meat. Have a very nice day.

Here in the Philippines, cooked rice is serve during breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is our main source of carbohydrates that produces energy into our body. If rice is not available we can also eat corn and root crops as a substitute of cooked rice. We are rich in natural resources so we are very rich in sea foods like lobsters, fishes, shrimps and different kind of see weeds. Here, we are also use to do the hog raising and so there is no shortage when it comes to meat supply. We can serve raw veggies also or the salad one.

In my country, i.e. India, it is altogether a different story. Here you will find people having different eating preferences and language as you go every 100 to 200 miles or so. So India is diverse in food habits. It totally depends on the local conditions. As far as my place Nagpur (a city situated centrally in India), we have chapatis (made of wheat floor) and dal (pulse locally called tuwar) as our staple food.

Hi Ashu, than you very much for your response and participation in my discussion. You have rightly mentioned that food habits are in different places of India. We are living close to West Bengal of India and everyday we come across a good number of Indian people. I worked in UN Mission in DR Congo, where I associated with Indian troops very closely and several times I tested their foods. Have a very nice day.

Do you like to know my main food or the food of the people of the country I live in?
Well if it comes to the country I live in: 2 bread meals a day plus 1 cooked meal (potatoes, vegetables plus a bit meat). Bread is never eaten with a hot/cooked meal. You eat bread with cheese on it, chocolate flakes, marmelade or meat. For breakfast and lunch (years ago it was normal to eat the cooked meal at noon). Ofcourse the cooked meals did change too through the years (also partly into fast food, pizza, etc). Many foreigners eat their own kind of food (but if you have children 2 bread meals are normal as well).
We (me and my family) have fruit for breakfast, we don't eat grains/cereals/wheat products anymore, very less/seldom meat, milkproducts are rare and we do eat (mostly green) vegetables.

Hi
As you said we also have the same foods like rice fish meat and pulses. These are common foods here too. But i really like to change my habit. But the problem is as we are used to eating rice we cannot stay on simple foods like bread and butter.
