How to cancel irctc flight ticket?

I booked flight ticket from IRCTC. But now I need to cancel it. They asked me to enter the ref no and the email id, yet even after that I can't proceed further. Can anyone provide me help. Has anyone encountered such incident before?

IRCTC stands for Indian Railway catering and tourism corporation, that is what I get when I searched for it on the internet. I have not used this service earlier, but as per the knowledge, it will not book the flight ticket for you.
It can book for you the railway tickets only online. If you need further assistance then you can check its website here:

They also book flight ticket. I have booked flight ticket from them. Just that I cannot cancel my ticket; their call centre never picks up the phone nor their server working properly.

I got it done. I emailed them, and they got back to me. I tried cancelling in their own website, but this never materialised. But emailing them did the job. But they said refunding will take a week or two.

I searched for the given organization but the information provided on the internet is not sufficient, maybe it is given in its official website. All I found was that it provides the ticket booking for the railways, but thanks for the corrections. Congratulations on getting it done.

It would be good if you could give the airline that you've been booked on a call to check if your entire reservation has been confirmed because if it is not and eventually goes right to the travel date then you could be penalized for no show on top of the refund admin charges for your air ticket.
You will need to check the refund policy for your air ticket and if there will be a refund because some fares are non refundable. If there is a refund, then check for the charges that is attached to the ticket.
If you still do not receive a reply from IRCTC, then do seek out your country's travel agency board which legislates travel agencies to address your issue with this travel agent you have used here.
