Week number two!

I have to admit I was surprised to lose weight this week at all. I came down with a nasty infection that needed not only antibiotics but two steroids. Now last time I was on a steroid I gained 5 pounds in three days. I lost it when I came off but the gain had been there. So I was really surprised that I still lost two pounds this week even on the medication. I was hoping to keep up with the four pounds a week but all things considered I am good with the two this week.

Four pounds is alot to lose in one week. Two is more like it. Hope the weight loss continues for you. Plateaus do happen but hopefully not often.

The slower you lose it the longer you will keep it off. A fast sometimes gives a good boost to losing too. Have you heard of the Lemonade Diet? Its a fast.

4 is my goal given to me by the doctor. Well between 2 to 4 a week anyway. Reach for four and with the lower being two to help me mentally. It's not like biggest loser style as much as I would love to lose 10 pounds in a week that is so unrealistic.

Good job. I am impressed that you did continue to lose weight. I know what steroids do to you. I hope your infection is healing up well now. Whatever you are doing seems to be working well.

I am doing the weight watchers online and it does seem to be good so far. The infection is much better now. The doctors where aggressive because it was in my blood but I am feeling very much better now.

Glad they could take care of it. It could get bad enough to have to have IV antibiotics.

They do some wicked things to ones body but sometimes they are needed... sadly.

hi opinionated lady I have diabetes and had a bad r ash on my leg so my doctor put me on steroids and that was a grave error. my blood sugar went sky high and my blood pressure was dangerously high too.I ended up in the ER getting ivs to lower my blood sugar and shots to lower my blood pressure too.so as its dangerous to stop taking them I had to take two more then was done I told m, doctor never again. too hard on a diabetic.

I try not to take them and haven't in years but this infection was wicked. I got scratched by something when we where hiking up the in the mountains some plant and it got in my blood. One was just a shot the pills where done in a few days.
