This neither a rant nor a rave, just sharing what i witnessed a while ago in the office. I went to a comfort room before i go to a meeting, then i saw this woman having troubles drying her hair in the hand dryer. =) i thought that would be hard, and i am just concerned for the effort she has to make because the hand dryer stops every minute? i don't know. he he Have you ever used hand dryers other than drying your hand? say dry your handkerchief in there? =) thank you!

Actually.. I saw a lot of people washing her hair on the washing bin and then dry it on the hand dryer. Some people also dry their eating utensils using hand dryer. Lol... I saw those things in my former working place. But I never did it. I found it very hard to dry hair on hand dryer and also washing hair in washing bin.. haha

hi hesty, That is what i have never seen, I have never witnessed someone washing her in the wash bin! he he she could have picked up other residues in the wash bin when she does this and did not clean the wash bin. =(

It would be really difficult to dry anything other than hands in a hand dryer. Even drying hands can be quite hard in a hand dryer, haha, depending on the make of the dryer. Some of them aren't very powerful at all. And then others nearly blow your hand off! I guess if you needed to dry your hair, and there's only a hand dryer available, then it's worth a try. I'm going to assume the woman doesn't dry her hair like that every day ;)

hi lisascope. thank you for your response! :D that is really true but as what other mylotters must have thought, she could just be needing to dry her hair and the hand dryer was the only option she has at the time. :D I hope so that she is not doing it daily - so far i haven't seen her again.

I already have seen one also. She's a crew of the fast food chain, and she's drying her hair in the hand dryer. It's a good thing she let me first use it, before she does it. If not, she would surely hear a word from me.

oh, so i guess the one i encountered really does need to have her hair dried somehow. :D Yeah if she does not let you use it first i would also tell her to let me use it first because she will take long.

i have only used the hand dryer for drying my hands and have never tried it in any other way like drying a hair., i think what that woman did was wrong, i think she is crazy for doing it, that is not possible because a hand dryer is only for drying a hand, and also it stops so it would take time to be able to dry a hair there..hehe

It obviously was taking a lot of her time and effort in doing so. I guess she had no choice but to do this and have her hair dried out faster. But yeah it's rather inappropriate especially that she was in public and everyone would have the need to use the dryer for their hands.

She must be on an important meeting or she just really wanna look good that she decided to dry her hair in the hand dryer,, it is hard to do that! I never used hand dryer in another way., but I know someone who does anything with a flat iron.. aside from doing it in clothes a friend of mine used it in her hair.. because her straightening iron for her hair is not working anymore and she has a date on that moment so she decided to used a flat iron.. I told her that was bad for her hair she says she only used it once..

hi neelia, i think this is the case as i have never seen her do this again, probably just one off thing that she needs to do, I realize going to a meeting with still a wet hair seemed unprofessional and not neat especially when your dress would be wet as well. :D thank you for your response

What a way to start your morning! hahaha! I think that it's kinda weird seeing somebody using the hand dryer to dry their hair considering how it stops right after a minute or even less than that. I have never tried nor thought about it. It was put there for the purpose of drying our hands. And what on earth did she think that she can make a good use of it for her hair. Well, even if I do find it funny, I think she just wanted to come to the office as perfect as possible and not to have dripping hair while working! Good morning, Chiyosan!

Good day jenny! =) how have you been lately? hope you are doing great!! =) As for the lady she was really uncomfortable. seeing her having troubles and the position of the dryer was really just not in the right place to have her her dried. I think its rather not what i think i would do. But yeah often when you just let your hair dry on its own, it would take about an hour. so i guess she needs her hair dry for a photo shoot, maybe? hehe

A few times a week so do my children. We have handdryers in the swimming pool they are ment to use to dry your hair. Kind of annoying, takes long since every few minutes you need to press the button again, so it takes very long to dry long hair (which is necessary now because of the freezing cold).

oh yeah.. that is what is annoying with hand dryers and if you use it for the purpose of drying other than our hands. it does go off every once in a while even if you are not yet done. There was this hand dryer though that until it senses nothing anymore, that is the time it will stop from working. =)

yeah but it was really a make or break situation. One time we were having our formal function at work (our office is the host). I was one of the emcees and a colleague accidentally poured my dress with some pop. We don't have enough time to change so we just tried to get as much pop as possible out of my dress using wet paper napkins (thank goodness it's not one of those dark colored pops) and dried my dress using the hand dryer. It worked and I was able to do my job without worrying of the stain and the wet spot.

Oh yeah, this can be one of the reasons why we would also use the hand dryers for drying other things, like a wet dress due to an accident... its usually for emergency. he he i remember having to dry my handkerchief once but never happened again, i usually would just use tissue napkins. but i remember a friend who had her monthly and had to wash her skirt so i helped her and dried the skirt with the dryer... it proved to be helpful but tool such a long time.

Yeah that's kinda weird but I think she's not comfortable with her wet hair. Maybe she is accustomed to blow drying her hair right after taking a bath but on that day she was in a hurry to go to the office so she wasn't able to do her regular routine. It's hard to dry the hair using the hand dryer. It usually takes me a couple of minute to dry my hands, what more if you will use it as a hair dryer substitute. Moreover, it will give you a severe backpain if you'll dry your hair using the hand dryer since all hand dryers are just below our chin level.

hi dona! =) thanks for your response i can say that is true, because i would usually have second thoughts myself drying my hand in the dryer and would instead use tissue paper to wipe my hands. SO yeah it is kinda hard - no wonder she does look troubled in there.. and not comfortable while drying her hair. he he :D i guess she'd have to be thee a long time. I wasn't able to see her face so she had her her all over the place hehe :D
