This is an actual report (taken from a report of a state in the U.S.):
"...a near $100 million investment of new state funds, with a total investment of $132 million, in workforce development aimed at equipping workers with the skills they need to find jobs in the modern workforce..."
What do you think? Should this be a top priority of government these days?

Nope. Let the people work out their own skills and how the acquire them. My mom worked her way through college, so did my brother. They sacrificed and worked hard and got the education they wanted. My brother could not afford the time or money to attend college physically so took a lot of online classes and accelerated learning. He has a master's in mechanical engineering and an MBA.
What's wrong with the people taking responsibility for acquiring their own skills? It's no business of the government.

Yep we're just making everyone helpless. Can't do anything with government 'support' and 'help' which is usually lacking in help anyway!

...from cradle to grave 'help' and 'support', government seems to want complete dependence / power.

Just like the 'president's job council' it will come to nothing and there went 132 million dollars for nothing.
