If you have enough budget to start your own business, and you have the skill and ability to run the business sustainability, why you bother to look for another job? Both taking a job and starting a business are good option. But the matter is how you live your life. However, if your goal is to make huge amount of money, start your business, but before you start your business, you need to learn how to run your business, and how to manage your resources in your business.

Hello there! Sorry to hear that you lost your job. But to give you my insight for your inquiry, for me, if you just started to work, I mean, if you have been working for a while now and just recently lost a job, you probably have many friends and connections business industry wise, and if you somehow have a savings to start a business, you might as well go for having your own business. The reason why I said that when it comes to having a business, its important that you have lots of connections and friends, since they would be your first clients, right? And also if you have been working for a while, you also would know how the industry works thus would help you manage your business effectively. But if you just started to have like about 1 to 2 years or even 9 years and below being employed, I think its best for you to find a job for you to be able to have lots of connections, friends and also lots of money to be able to put up a business for you to start on. Also you would be able to have lots of experience working in an industrial environment that would help you in your business if ever you really wanted to pursue one in the future.

I built up my small business while working an almost full time job. I think it's best to do it that way so that you have a stable income, because you might not make very much at the beginning.

Well there are a few things that you have to ask yourself before you make that decision on whether you should find another job or start a business of your own: 1. Do you have money saved up.(Like enough money to live off of for awhile and plus enough money to start your business with whatever you want to start. Because most likely if you want to start a business, you're going to need some money.) 2. Are you willing to put in a lot of hard work, to get your business started off the ground. 3. What are your ideas for your business. Answering these questions will definitely help you make the right decision.

It all depends on your resources, your experience and the market. If you have some money put away to use as capital and to pay for the start-up costs and the overhead for the early years of the business (expect net loss, break even is actually very rare) and if you have a good business strategy in mind that you have full knowledge or expertise of, you might want to give starting your own business try. Why not list down the pros and cons of having or looking for another job versus the pros and cons of starting up your own business? Then from your list, narrow down your decision to the one which will benefit you the most and which you can see yourself doing for a long time.

Working for yourself can be a big step, and it can also be a money step to, I hope your bank will loan you the money, to start your own business,if you have the money, go a head and try it, but I hope you have the customers, to get you through those hard times, you will face with having, your own business it, and then there is the taxes that have to be files, every year it sound like, too much work to own a business.

I personally prefer to work for someone. That way your taxes are automaticaly taken out, you know how much your going to get each week or every two weeks. But everybody knows how hard finding and keeping a job i, so if there is something you know you can do that will make even a decent income that's a good idea too. I have had problems in the past couple years finding permament work work and am unemployed now. But there's nothing I can think of doing and unemployment is running out. So, I'm looking.

If you have saved plenty of money and can manage without a job for the next 5 years, you also have a golden idea to start for yourself, you can do that. If not you better look for a job and perhaps you have time to start for yourself next to it.
