Reading

So, I have always loved reading and cannot think of anything more relaxing than reading by the fire on a cold winter night. A lot of my friends & family find reading boring and always ask why I bother. I just wondered what everyone's views on reading were? Do you love it, or hate it?

I used to love reading..I have read so many books, novels, comics and so on. But lately, I hardly have time to read books. With full time work and internet, gizmos and gadgets these days, where is the time to shop for books and read them.

It's rather sad to think that one day our beloved books will probably vanish. I have also had to cut down on my reading due to time restraints, it's pretty awful, right? :(

You are absolutely right..Believe me, I have completed reading 'Gone with the Wind' in five days..Those were the days, when i started reading a book, i'd not be satisfied before completing the book..

I love reading. It is my favorite past time. I think it is the most cheapest way to travel . Once i start reading, I get thrown into the place where the characters live. I get a glimpse of how people live in there, their customs, their dreams, their very lives. I also learn a lot from them. So I think reading will not be outdated as a past time.

I totally agree with you; books can move you into a different time altogether and you can immerse yourself into the characters' lives. It's great

I love to read, I pass a lot of time reading a lot of books. My favourite author is Chuck Palahniuk, I just absolutely love his books, Fight Club is one of my all time favourites.
