Don't you think? it makes a person more beautiful if she or he just smiles.. I am not very smiling, especially if i am not alone or not comfortable in the environment, so sometimes people see me as a snob. So i guess, from now on, i would try to smile more when someone approaches me and look more brighter- although not all the time...since i'd look crazy.

I think we should all laugh and smile more. We'll attract more positive things to ourselves if we do :) and just have a more enjoyable life! You're right, people are automatically more attractive and approachable if they smile.

I have never tried that- smiling to myself for more than 10 minutes. But i have laughed and smiled for a couple of minutes because of a comedy film.. so i guess that counts.. it kind of hurts my face though.. smiling and laughing for a long time.

And another comment - smiling uses less muscles in the face - thereby less wrinkles!! When a person frowns, they use more muscles, which will eventually turn into more wrinkles!

That is very true. A friend once told me that if you want your day to go absolutely smoothly. All you have to do is smile continuously at yourself for 10 mins straight, i dont know if there is an explanation to this but it sure does work i believe.

smiling kids - Smiling makes them handsomer.
Yes, smiling enhances ones personality so it is advisable to smile more. When you smile it is just making the world feel that life is beautiful and there are lots of reasons to be happy so smile, smile smile. A very contagious attitude is smiling. Only a fool will frown back to a person who smiles in a very amiable attitude.

I am sort of a fool then, since there are times when i do not smile at people who smile at me.. since some of them are people i do not even know, so it'd be weird for them to smile at me.. and sometimes i think that they are not really smiling at me, especially if there are lots of other people around.

For me, it is better to be true to ourselves than to pretend. Still, it depends on person I guess.

Well, i am talking abut a true smile anyway. Since fake or sarcastic smiles can easily be seen and even criticized. Some of my friends do that when they are annoyed, and it is so obvious. Even i do it sometimes too.

People do get the impression that one is a snob if they do not seem him/her smile. I am also not the kind of person who smiles all the time. The reason behind is I am shy. My former High School batchmates whom I have just been closed with recently have told me that they never approached me then coz they think that I am a snob. But I told them that I was so shy back then and I do not know how to make myself have that "friendly aura". So, most of the time I was just quietly sitting on my chair.

YEah, we are quite the same.. some people even thought i was a bit of a snob too.. I did have some close friends, but it was just a small circle.. But now, people do approach me more, maybe because i am not that shy anymore..

I agree, a smile makes a person beautiful, approachable and confident. I have noticed that a smile opens doors in new environments and friendhips. A person who smiles often is more likely to get help than a person who does not. Of course one does not have to smile all the time; but practice it when interacting with other people.

Yes, i totally agree, i have some friends who always smile and are always friendly.. which is why they have lots of friends too. I wish i could be like them, but sometimes i find it hard to smile, especially to people who do not look so approachable either.

A person with good emotion can help surrounding people owning good emotion. Usually a person with smile in face can help people have a light emotion. No one hate the smile, even in a foreign country where you can not use the local language, smile still can help you a lot to show your good emotion and kindness to other people. Smile is a worldwide passport.

YEs, definitely.. they do create what they call the smile lines or something.. But i guess that is sort of good, and doctors even say it is a good exercise for the face. it is better than frowning and letting gravity pull down your face.

Smile can make the distance between people become short. So i don't mean for my smile to people around me.lol, you can also lighten up other people's day.So why not?To find one's inner beauty is more important than outside. So thankful we all know that.

yes, definitely.. especially if it is a genuine smile. Inner beauty is definitely more important since it is more lasting than outer appearance or beauty, and you gain more freinds with it too.

It is good that you have finally made up your mind to smile more to people. Indeed, smiling gives natural attractiveness to people. It works better than any of the cosmetics being sold in the market. People would rather approach someone who smiles a lot than someone with heavy make up.

I agree. A smile aside from being the best makeup, is also the best accessory anyone can put on. It instantly lights up the face and makes us look younger. It goes without saying that it has to be a sincere and genuine smile. People can immediately notice if a smile is a fake one.

Yes, definitely.. a fake smile can get noticed easily and then people will have a bad impression about you. So it is better to smile from the heart (with the eyes too) than fake a smile.

Good choice. A smile cost nothing and when a person smiles, it draws others closer. It is true that our faces, and body language tells stories... so, let us tell the world a good story with our smiles!!

Yes, since a smile is just free, it is also priceless in a way.. it cannot be bought, and it brings so much joy even to those who've had a rough day. So we should fill the world with smiles.
