I just recently upgraded my mobile contract and opted for the Android based Samsung Galaxy S3 over the new Apple iPhone 5. I've owned the iPhone 3, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 4, so I decided it was time for a change. However, I am a little bit disappointed with the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Although it is a great phone, the lack of tight integration offered by the Apple iTunes store and iTunes software is sorely missed. Google Play offers a ton of great apps, but you have to purchase music and videos elsewhere. In addition, there are serious technical issues when transferring videos and music to the Samsung Galaxy S3. In some cases, videos and mp3 music files cannot be copied to the internal device storage or memory card because of file formats and sizes. This has never been a problem with Apple devices.
For all of its great features and technical specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S3 was a bit of a disappointment and I will definitely be switching back to Apple iPhone the next time my mobile contract is due for an upgrade.

Hi there knight! Im sorry you were disappointed with the samsung phone, but coming from an iphone 4 you probably should have gotten yourself a galaxy note 2 instead. My officemate was also one of the most loyal iphone subs, but when he renewed his contract he go note two and so far was satisfied with samsung.
I could not really say anything about file transfers and all. But i have always been a loyal customer to samsung and I do have an S3 right now, but i find no troubles really when it comes to the issues you mentioned here. I like it that samsung allows me to send bluetooth to other devices as well. :D

Hi knight! =) Thanks for the best response.
I would agree, i newly got my samsung s3, but since i am connected to the internet almost all the time, I find that rather convenient and i am getting used to the size of S3 now, it made mylotting easy... he he I would agree that 4inches screen is rather nice when held on one hand. Samsung S3 is a bit too much i guess sometimes that i have to use both hands when texting =( now that would also be the case for Note2, but it sure has better features and a stylus.

Well, in general certain phones are better for certain people. Maybe for what you want in your phone is more suitable for an iPhone. Android, however, is growing nicely and maybe once you adjust to the new interface and find some nice apps for music, you'll decide to keep it! Of course, Microsoft has made new phones that don't have a crummy OS finally, so you could even look into that.

The Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows Phone 8 is definitely a contender in the smartphone arena, but I wouldn't jump ship just yet. Microsoft has a very small selection of apps and games for Windows Phone OS compared to the hundreds of thousands of apps released for iOS and Android.

I have3 never had the iphone, but my son does and he loves it. I also have the s3. and in my opinion, it is far better than the iphone. It is the best phone that I have ever had and used, and I would never have anything else at least fro now. It appears that since you have had the iphone for so long, that you are used to the way it works. It might seem confusing to you at first since it is totally different than the iphone, but once you have used it for awhile, you will feel differently. I don't put music on mine so I don't have that to worry about. i just like the way it works totally, and I can also post in here on my phone. you should try that too, and you will see what I mean. good luck with your phone, and have a great day.
