Not that I'm looking. I am just wondering how many people like me who feels that lots of people are somehow celebrating today with someone else or at least not loveless today. I wasn't able to go out just because to buy some thing on the groceries as i have been too occupied at home. Anyway I would just go out tomorrow when there's no more feeling like people are just outside to have a date.

Well, i seldom wonder why almost all holidays, women are the ones who always benefit. Why? Mother's day is for women, so men would treat the women, on father's day, the father will celebrate his day with his family, and spends money for the family, on valentine's day, the women gets alot of presents from suitors and her boyfriend or husband.
I, like you, did not have a date with humans, but i dated my own computer due to some works i have to finish. For many people February 14 is valentine's day, for men who found independence from not spending on valentine's day, it's their independence day, but for me and many people out there, it's just Thursday. He he, have a great day!

I think this Valentine day should not be recognized and celebrated any more as i think it just puts pressure to lots of people out there. It feels like a way to mock loveless people and like just makes single people feel there aloneness.

I agree with the both of you, valentine's day really is a mockery to "forever alone people" or single people. Like ruchadhawal said, we should not make hasty decisions while we are still young, there are a lot of opportunities to show our worth to the woman in our life when the right time comes. Not only will we be sweet on valentine's day, but it should be everyday, and it should not be where we will spend too much money on a day, it just puts pressure to all of us. Instead, we should show our appreciation to our loved ones by doing simple things that make them happy.

I agree as Valentine is not the only day to prove that we love that person. It is total waste of money and time. if being single is the problem then we should wait for the right person rather than taking hasty decisions.

Indeed it just feel miserable to have this kind of holiday or occasion. It would be better for all people if we don't have this on calendar.

I have been single for 35 years. Never once felt the need to have a women in my life.
But I have to wonder... *IF* you do.... or if you want a man in your life... what exactly are you waiting for?
You think "mr right" is going to randomly walk down your street, bang on your door, and present you with a ring? Go out and be found. "well I'm busy", then don't complain. You can't get a job by being "busy". You have to intentionally make time to go for a job interview, and fill out applications.
Welcome to life. It doesn't happen by magic. If you are guy, go out and be looking. If you are girl, go out and be found. You can't be found, hiding at home behind a computer screen, hoping someone will find your unlisted phone number and call you.

This year marks 12 years since the last time that I was without a Valentine. When I was a teenager, this was something that really did bother me all the time, but now that I've had my husband for several years, I realize that Valentine's Day with a partner is really not all that much different than it is when you don't have a partner. I think that Valentine's Day really does tend to be something that is all about new couples as opposed to couples that are more established.

I think Valentine's Day is really stupid! I am married and my husband and I have never done anything for it, never went anywhere together to celebrate it. We love each other all the time, not just on this stupid holiday. It's just another way for companies to get business and more money-that's it.

Yeah I agree only business do benefit mostly from this valentine thing as people would need to buy something as a gift or go somewhere where they would need spend money.

I also don't have a date today, because my husband isn't home and won't be for 2 months for his RnR. I guess it's just me and my in-laws having dinner later in our house. Just a common everyday occurrence in my mundane life. But despite the simplicity of it all, I feel loved and blessed. And I guess that it the real essence of valentine.

Don't get envious of other people who has someone on a valentine's day.You will have yours in due time.In the meanwhile even if you don't have that special someone during a valentine's day, you can still celebrate valentines with your family, relatives and friends who doesn't have any appointments or dates to attend to.

Who said you need a date on valentine when you can celebrate it alone. The problem is most people think that to celebrate this day, you need to have a bf/gf or spouse. To me, I don't think that's a requirement. No one ever sets such rule right?

Valentines is not only for lovers.. you can celebrate it with your friends and family.
But you know that is very true, you cant help it to feel bad when you see others with their love ones. But it's alright there will be more valentines, so you still have a lot of chance to celebrate it with your "soon to be" love one.

Do not feel bad about being alone on Valentines Day, it was just already passed by and so the sweet couples are not that sweet anymore compare yesterday. lol.I am not hypocrite, I could say that I felt a little envy when I some gals carrying balloons and so fragrant flowers and as if when I was with them, I have no partner also.

Valentine's day is just another day that everybody should celebrate with love alone or with others. That's what my friend says and he is right :)

I just want to add - supplies like flowers, chocolates etc are more cheaper on a post valentine. I'm glad I have my partner for the past few years to be with me as her "valentine". I hope, you can find yours too, in time Well, enjoy your post valentine in the mall or grocery. Thanks

, it seems that there are a lot of us, would you believe that I never had a real partner on a valentine's day ever? I'm glad that I'm still able to celebrate valentine's day today even if it's only with friends atleast it's not as lonely as the others.

hotsummer hi. the greatest love of all is the love for self. if you love and appreciate yourself first, you will not feel incomplete or loveless and; love will find you where you are. Take time out of your usual duties to have relax enjoy yourself.
