Writers of Filipino Movies

I'm just wondering why in our local movies, the name of the author or writer of the story don't exist in the posters and trailers or advertisements? Instead, they put the actors name in big big big font size... those actors are nothing without a writer with a good built up in their characters! err... just kind'a irritating because other countries have a big credits to the author... why can't we???

probably not enough discerning movie lovers in your area care enough about whos the writer than whos the main cast..

I've noticed that too. Writers don't get much credit and usually don't toot their horns when it comes to their contribution in a blockbuster movie here. It's a different society we're in, almost like Filipinos are obsessed with celebrities and physicality.
