Why not take your husband to hospital and have a check?Because usually people snore terribly will have some problem with their nose,so I think you should get advices from doctor then things will be done.

Hi,
You just shake the head or turn him to a different position or change the position of his head to a different way. He will stop for some time and mean time you can sleep. If the situation persists, you can move to an another room for the time being and resolve it. In fact I got a forward last week to stop this issue. Unfortunately I didn't even open the link or did not read what it is as I don't have a problem like this or at home, no body has such 'terrible' snoring habits.
Regards

Yes, it is a kind of luck. But for sure, we may not be aware how much trouble we must be giving to others, if we also have the habit. As compared to man, this habit for women is less and even if they snore, it wont be so disturbing. I think we all snore while in sound sleep and depend on the sleeping position. Basically, the air flow get jammed due to tightness of the throat and the fluid suronded and the body vessels get vibrated and when it happens with a heavy brething, the sound become intollerable.
Anyway, find a better solution whichever is appropriate and you can tell your h/b that you can't get sleep and can temporarily change the room. Anyway, he also is sleeping and it won't be a matter of scare if you were not around.
Find a better option with a mutual understanding.
thank-s

My husband snores, too. So what I usually do is to let him sleep flat in his tummy so that the air could pass through her mouth without having the vibrating sound.

Changing room in great idea but that does not work for me, because he will not allow me to leave for another room as he is too afraid of sleeping alone.

Be sure no medicine will work, better sleep on another bed or another room.

I can not shout or yell at him, if I do, he becomes mad and if he becomes mad then I do not think I will be able to take a chance to live... well, thanks..

My husband doesn't snore, and when he does, it only lasts for a couple of minutes and only when he's so exhausted. Do you have a second bedroom or a guest room that you can use? Maybe you want to sleep in there for the times that his snoring gets too loud for you to ignore. Also, you can try to have him visit a specialist, he might have some nasal problems causing this.

If my wife snores terribly, I will buy earplugs and used it each time she snores. But, If I have to wake up early while I turning my alarm on, I will not sleep near her. i will sleep in other room or in the front of my TV so I can hear the alarm ringing in the early morning. Snoring is very annoying my sleep. Once upon a time, I couldn't sleep because of my friends' snore in our tend when we were camping. I was sleepless for 2 days because of their annoying snore.
