People just dont get it..... mylot....

I think that the reason that there are so many people that really just don't seem to understand the value of mylot is because of the fact that they think in terms of simply dollars and cents as opposed to thinking in terms of the other value that a website might have. Like you, I've referred a lot of people to mylot and none of them have stuck around. I asked one person why she didn't stick around and she said that her reason was because of the fact that she just wasn't making enough money on here. I told her that I don't find mylot to be all about money and she adamantly disagreed with me.

Maria, I totally understand this. I have just gotten two new referrals. They started off with a few discussions and now they seemed to have stopped. I do remember when I joined. I did not understand how the site worked. So I left. And after a few months of looking for other sites to earn from, I decided to come back here. And I am glad I did. I love MyLot. It is like no other site out there. I am hoping that my new referrals will eventually become active again.

I return to mylot after 6 years away, bact then I have a lot of fun over here and earned some bucks. Mylot it´s a great site to share ideas.

I do like it here, there are many different people with many different opinions. All good fun. It is an eye opener

People have different priorities and some of them would rather spend their time investing in something more financially rewarding than investing heir time in relationships, friendships and their mental capabilities. Unfortunately, when you're new on mylot, you don't easily see its intrinsic benefits and the good it will do on you and your life. Especially when you first came here for money.

Some of them really don't get committed on Mylot because they might have some other better work or better income work to do. Only a very few people could sit in front of the laptop and spend their whole day in front of it and Mylot is suitable for them. Some maybe lazy to post discussion and didn't bother. It is actually depends on the people, if they really want to earn and get friends from mylot, they will do the same thing as we are doing now.

We come here and make new friends. We come here and fill up the pages with almost anything that crosses our mind, with no time limite and whenever we want to.... If people can't accept that what we earn here for all that is just a bonus well, maybe they don't belong here in the first place. I often wonder if they are happy with their offline life either

I think the greatest problem for most people who are new to a particular site is how to get familiar with it and to do that they need to use it more often so as to get a 'hang' of it. Then only will they realize and appreciate the usefulness of such a site. Some people are impatient and if they do not get the immediate benefit they will leave. In other words they must be able to 'exploit' (for want of a better word) the site. Have a good day.

Because people are taught (by an overwhelming flood of media) that 'taking time to do something is only worth doing if you are paid fairly for your time.' And at myLot, you are not paid for your time---not in the quid pro quo way that jobs pay you. I like to think of this in terms of 'quantum physics' (which David C. Pack's "Proof of God" doesn't seem to address ... at least not in the first hour-&-a-half of reading ). All I know about 'quantum physics' is that it doesn't work in the cause-&-effect way of Newtonian physics. Quantum physics is more about the probability that things will take one path rather than another. myLot DOES pay for every action, but no one can guarantee an exact wage because it depends on-how much money the site is given, -how much is left after site-maintenance costs, -how many people there are, -how much time 'how many people' spend on it & other things (the figuring-out of which takes more loading-time than a lot of people want to spend).

I've told a lot of people about mylot also and all of them wanted to use the words "chat room" to describe mylot. They don't understand that mylot is way different than any chat room or social networking site. The only referral that I have is my sister. She started out doing a lot here then disappeared. Next thing I know she showed up again being active but only for a few days and now she's gone again. I think that is a really cool idea about the splash page. It will really get the word out there of what mylot is truly about. People see the earnings and get discouraged but they don't see the fun you can have here and the great people you can meet

I´m newbie here but i think you´re right .. after being searching around a bit here i found it very interesting and i like very much :3. Maybe it looks scary for newbies = oh gosh so many wierd stuff! so many places to write and things to do what do i have to do ?= and so on ;)

Mylot is a great place for killing time and you can find something new or interesting here. I like people sharing their stories or something really useful or making sense instead of just small talks. I learn a lot here about garden and cooking as well. But sometimes finding useful posts do take me much time while once do find that , you will find it so interesting and wanna spend much more time here.

well we can all hope thing get more better but the sad fact is until this becomes like face book i dont believe it will happen

I think that some, after joining, find mylot not to be what they thought it would be. they don't understand the concept of mylot, and leave becasue they just don't know to make money in here, and when they do find out, they will start working, but then quit becauise they don't get paid enough. I think that some have the idea that they can get rich here, but that is the furthest thing from the truth. Mylot isn't about the money anyway, as it is about having fun, and learning from others. If everyo0ne would come in here wht that mindset, then they would do better as far as earnings are concerned; i have lots of fun in here. and i learn every day as well. I was around everyday and using the site often for many months but the past few or so weeks I have found something better to earn myself more money. I miss being here, sorry if I haven't been here to join in and respond to all of my discussions as of late. I do hope that is not taken into offense. That is one other thing why I'm not here often either is because some people take offense at things I say or do here at the drop of a hat. I was tired of getting some of the negative remarks on some of my discussions and when I asked for something to be deleted 4 times I was denied, sooooooo onward I go! Maybe one day when I can I will be able to catch up here again. I feel some people don't care if I'm here or not anyways alot of the time.

I've said many times that the value of myLot is often over looked. It even looks a little scary for some people with all of the topics and so many people. Other people jump right in sink or swim without the rules and get discouraged after their stuff is deleted. We never know until we try. I have one referral here (cmania) she wrote on my topic today!! I'm going to try to keep her coming back so she can realise for herself the fun that she can have just like we do.

Yes, I agree with you. Mylot helps a lot. We cannot please anyone to join in here. Some of them maybe Mylot is not their cup of tea. From the very first time that I learned this site, I can say that I will stay longer here as long as I can. My lifestyle has change a lot because of Mylot.

It is hard to refer a friend or someone that is not interested, some are dont like to use their time participating on forums, some are feel bored when reading and responding on their discussion. I told my friends too, to join mylot but no one interested. some of them registered here, but sad to say they only active for awhile.

Been here for less than a month and I can say that I learning so much. This is better than any other social networking sites because we can discuss anything under the sun. My hubby said: "MyLot is the site for brilliant minds." :D
