Whereever you go, from small sari-sari store to malss, you will see red balloons, hearts, cupids and many red thing. This is because we celebrated Valentine'sDay yesterday. It is cute to see hearts hanging in the store windows. By the way, where did you spend the Valentine's Day?

Red isn't really my color, but I know what you mean. Stores and shops have managed to really put up some good valentine's day displays that even though I am not a big fan of red, I can't help but appreciate the way those red flowers and red hearts graze the glass windows. Valentine's day isn't much of an affair here in our house. We just had some dinner and watched the news. It was a bit chilly here last night and we've been expecting a bit of snow. Not that snow will prevent us from going out. I just happened to be dateless as my beloved husband is working abroad and won't be back for a while. But still, it was a good day like any normal day.

hi there dorisday1971. for valentine's day, i decided to just stay at home and have flowers and a fruit bouquet delivered to my wife at her office. she loved the gesture and she was quite thrilled receiving gifts last valentine's day. for my daughter, i got her a rose and chocolates. she really liked the rose but she loved the chocolates more. for dinner, instead of braving the traffic, i had pizza and chicken delivered to our place so i can share a nice meal with my family. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Yeah, lots of red hearts right? I did not go to the mall because we got no money to spend, would have been different if my husband planned a surprise but i really am surprised that he planned nothing at all. Silly me for hoping too much for nothing. I spent the whole Vday attending my youngest daughters school activity and i went to my mother's house because they had a small diner with relatives and ice cream afterwards...how sweet of my father to treat us. He is always like that even if my parents have been married more than 30 years but my father really makes an effort to make this Vday special for MAMA, how i wish my husband will be like that.

Every hearts day I dine out together with my mom and siblings but not this year, we opted to have dinner at home because my nieces were having fever and also mom's out of the country. Filipinos celebrate just about anything.. its also a way of bonding with families and loved ones.
