The hard landing from this giant asteroid must have caused much anxiety among our Russian friends, so many buildings are damaged caused by the crash impact, amazingly enough, no one was killed but many suffered from minor bodily injuries. That itself should be a cause for relief and small celebration from our Russian friends.

It does make you wonder though doesn't it, these meteors and how they are hitting Earth, that one day a massive meteor could actually crash and wipe out Earth itself, there are theories that this happened when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth and it killed them off. Theories are also present that meteors could one day destroy Earth as we know it. It only takes one to veer off course and head in our direction, it was only a small one in Russia this time!

They will only announce to public if they calculated that the incoming threat is a flyby visitor;
but if ever they know that an asteroid, comet, or meteor will surely land on earth's crust then they will never tell it to anyone to prevent mass panic.

I think it sounds more scary then anything. I'm sure it was not exciting for the people going through this horror. About 1000 people were injured due to falling glass from the building windows. A factory's roof caved in. Not to mention alot of debris scattered around. I would never want to experience such a thing. I'm shocked no one was killed but very grateful that there were none. I just hope the injured will be ok.

I hope so as well, and pray for the families. 1000 injuries at once can cause quite a lot of havoc in the hospitals, hopefully other countries are sending relief teams to help out if needed. I guess my wording could have been better, its more frightening than exciting. I sure hope everyone manages to survive the injuries.
