Your help needed about my Laptop

For last 4 days I am observing something peculiar and annoying. Suddenly the entire screen starts flickering and it becomes pink; restarting does not help, it remains for 10 minutes than things become normal; more over this doesn't occur daily. Though I have a post graduate diploma in computer application; I admit I don’t know the reason. Can anyone tell me the reason and how to remove this? Do you use Laptop or pc? You use cable connection or Wi-Fi? Have you ever faced similar problems? Please respond and share your experience. Thanks in advance. Professor Dr. B.Saraf. PhD. Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

Professor Ji, I do use laptops and last year, I did have the same issue with one of my laptops screen and I had to pay 5000 for changing it's LCD. However, before going for that, I did try a few things. Let me explain you the steps that I followed to isolate the cause of the issue before spending money. 1. I connected an external monitor to my laptop to check if the issue is due to the motherboard of the laptop. The external monitor worked fine. 2. Then I removed my laptop screen to make sure that the connection (between the laptop screen and the motherboard) was good. I did remove and reconnected the LCD of the laptop to make sure that there was nothing related to the connection. 3. Then I surrendered and spent 5k to get a new LCD for my laptop display and the issue got resolved. I hope this will help.

Thanks for the details dear dollar Let me tell you i opened the battery chamber, removed the battery and cleaned the contacts, the problem is there but it is not that frequent, manageable; well i know if i take to any shop they will ask for replacement, formatting, my data will be lost and the charges will be high. My second son is computer engineers, he has job in a steel plant and has a repair/sell shop too, after i reach home on March 6th, he will fix it.

I remember one of friend had a Dell laptop, his computers screen used to flicker only when he used his power adapter, so can try another power adapter and check if that helps.

Traditionally I've always been the kind of person that uses a desktop computer just because of the fact that I've always felt that they are more stable than a laptop. However, just last week my husband bought our family a new laptop and since then I've been using that exclusively as there is some work that needs to be done on my desktop computer. We have cable internet in our home and currently I have the ethernet cable plugged into my laptop but I've also used our wifi some since I got it last week. As far as the issue that you are having with your laptop, it sounds like it could be that your lcd screen is starting to get worn out.

hi professor! after a long time here... its just a co-incidence that i have just few minutes ago written a discussion about my problem abt pc...actually mine is not pc problem...its related to internet and traffic...i dont have much knowledge abt pc but it may be that some part of your pc is getting damaged..get it checked with some knowledgeable person, before it gets spoiled more...

These sort of problems can be due to software malfunction or it could be due to an intermittent hardware fault. I think the best thing now is to reformat and re-install your operating system from scratch. If the problem goes away then it's confirmed to be software related. However, if it doesn't work then I guess you need to send it to a specialist to get your laptop checked for hardware fault.
