Do you remember your first comment or discussion topic?

I remember mine very clearly. It was a comment on a woman's discussion who was looking for new activities to keep her busy because she was feeling lonely. I don't think she is active here any more. I also remember that I went online to find new ideas to propose to her and I posted a long response, I wanted it to be helpful and to give some good ideas! I had selected that discussion carefully before responding and made sure that I was able to respond with honesty and provide her with a solution. I actually tried to find that discussion and compare my answering style back then with the style that I have today! After going through 270 pages of answered discussions I found it on page 271! 
It was the start of my journey in mylot, a great experience that I enjoy until today and I hope I will continue in the future. Please share your personal experience about your first steps in this wonderful site!

no but I remembered the first responder to my topic.. Mysdianait. her response was "read FAQs" complete with the popping question mark on her avatar. lol

Haha! Well, it's normal to ask some questions that are already answered in the faq until you find your way around here! I am pretty sure that my first discussion didn't get any responses so I focused on commenting! At least someone paid attention to you! lol

no no no... that discussion and the rest of my discussions were all deleted. I was so scared of mysdianait... and wishing that she will not see any of my discussions anymore.

I got some deleted discussions as well, until I understand what's allowed and what's violating the rules. Even though I had read the do's and dont's, I hadn't realised what's a poll discussion until I started one and it got deleted! lol
Even though Mysdianait is strickt with violations, I think that all new members need someone to direct them to the correct way of participating without doing any rule violations and let the know that the reading the FAQ is important!

Do you think that your first discussion was important for your overall experince in mylot?
I am not sure about the first discussion that I started because I was mainly focused on comments but I have the impression that I didn't get any responses so I decided to continue with commenting. Now I am more interested in starting new discussions but this changes from time to time!

That's true. At first, my intention of joining mylot is a pure income related reasons, but as I go through I enjoyed it and continue to enjoy it.
Reading and posting issues, ideas, informative stories and opinions is a great ways of acquiring knowledge,I learned everyday and inclined to share my opinions also.
It is a perfect example of learning while working!

Sure, mylot is helping me a lot with many things. I have found very good opportunities for other websites and I have been helped a lot from other members through the process of commenting and starting discussions! Everyone is willing to help and share their experiences, I am so glad that I found this site and I am still here, I have to say I have left many other sites that I am using from time to time but mylot is one of the few that I am loyal to!

It was only a year ago, but I cannot remember the very first discussion I responded or commented. I did a lot of reading on my first few days here and not much posting.
I remember the first discussion topic I started and who my first responder was...

Haha! The opposite happened to me! lol
I remember the first comment but not the first discussion! But I think that I didn't have any responses to my first discussion anyway so I was a bit dissapointed and focused on commenting after that!
The first few days are always important to the new users because they define their first impression of the site and their experience defines if they want to keep up with it or not! So honesty combined with a good research on the topics before commenting are very important!

Good memory for you. I can't even remember the very first post or discussion that I wrote here. I do remember the first few mylotters that became my friends. Some of them are still active, some have become too busy with their jobs and real life. But I still enjoy being on here much as the same way that I enjoyed it when I just created my account here.

Some of my old friends are not active any more too, and I have also made new friends through mylot after all this time that I've been active! It's interesting to go back and compare my writing style back then with the commenting style that I have now! I like doing that in my life as well, to see how I have evolved through time. I think mylot has helped me improve a lot!

I could be in this MyLot by mistake .. at that time I was looking for a site that can pay me until I joined MyLot .. after I joined the discussion here turns very interesting and fun..In addition to exchange ideas,we can also add friends and of course we can get the money .. honestly speaking i can't recall or remember anymore the very first topic that i have wrote here. what i just can share is the great experienced that i have had. being at this site is really tremendous. though at first, i will admit that i just want to earn. but as time goes by, i am learning a lot from different point of views that being shared by everyone. plus, those friends that i have had gained throughout. this site is really superb. what more can i say...

Hi keynote! My memory is usually really bad as well, but there are some details that I remember clearly even if they have happened a long time ago! Even though I have responded to too many discussions, I realised that while I was browsing through my responded topics, I could also recall some of the discussions that I saw in the list. My first comment has stayed in my mind because I thought it was very important at the time and I had put an effort in order to give a complete answer!
