Good day Fellow Mylotters, We cannot avoid the fact that we as working human always go for a higher salary. Hence, we sometimes ignore those glitch we see just to avail of the salary that help us to ease our financial needs. However, this scenario is not maybe for me at this very moment. As I saw a lot of glitch in the present post that I am handling. Thus, their accounting record was mess-up. That even their official receipt usage were not even in sequence. And because of this, I am thinking to quit as soon as possible. As I don't want to be blame at the end if a failure from a transaction occur. Although my salary can help somehow to ease an expenses, still I am thinking to resign in the future.

hi there nitinnair89, i guess, this is really very common to companies. hence providing salary raise does not matter to them. so as those employees who are somehow in the bottom post will just wait if the raise will be given or not.

Yeah very common here. Although there are appraisal systems, but there are rare chances of grade increase

Well the bosses always think that they are doing us a favour by paying us - whether high or low. Its almost as if it their right to feel that way.

A person can only be able to perform his job well if he is happy with his work and work environment. Regardless of the amount of money that he earns, still the most important thing is doing what makes you happy.

The amount of salry is very important especially now when you have to make a lot of money just to qualify to get an apartment.

a pleasant day to you, indeed, money is really important though in some instances, you may need to think that beyond this, there are most important ones.

There are times that we became unhappy with our work. That happened to me about 5 years ago but in a different situation from yours. I was mistreated by my supervisor. She had done all her bad efforts just to discourage me from continuing to work at our department hurting me severely. I was so hurt at that time that I thought of resigning. But I had no option because I have to support my family. All my children were in school at that time. I preferred to continue, I had no choice. Now, I'm still in the same department with my direct supervisor but we are just working normally. She stopped mistreating me but the pain that she gave me are still in my thoughts. I really could not forget.

good day to you, once in my life i have met a boss who is almost the same as your boss. she always tells discouraging words. instead of lifting us as her staff, she does the opposite. hence, she always tell us that the reason why we remain staff is because, we don't have any ambition in life. and that word from her marks my heart as i really felt humiliated.

Yes, for me, When I am choosing any job, I would choose the job that have enough salary and has a happy environment. I mean, I know what I am doing, I can do my tasks well and all my office mates are my friends rather being in a company where in it is always a hassle to finish my tasks. I am always pressured and I have a lot of deadlines. It is better to quit rather to be in that situation.

good day kokomo, i guess, that is the ideal one, hence, to have a good job that has an enough/better salary. but, in most times, most companies cannot promise that, hence, if you have a enough and better salary, for sure, you will have a lot of responsibilities. although there are still other companies that give what is ideal to their staff and personnel.

I think before you eventually resign from your work because of a mess up accounting records, why not just talk to your employer to discuss the things happening in your office? Who knows, everything will be okay and that the company owners might realize the need to put the accounting records in order.

Personally in a lot of ways, this is definately the Truth. There are many times when the salary especially higher, means more responsibility and you may not always enjoy your job as much, and wish for the times when things was easier. I know that is one of the main reasons I would not want to be promoted where I work, and would rather get my Business going more to where I am more in charge of everything here for sure.

Hi aira! =) I hope you are feeling better somehow. I have had a lot of issues with my previous companies but never really about their accounting. If i get it right, this meant as well that your salaries often are late, or if not late they had errors in computation? If this is the case, I would really suggest that you instead find another job that would satisfy your hunger for a good career, learnings and advancement. Sometimes smaller companies will tend to have this problem that you have mentioned. It is better that you would be able to transfer immediately to a better company that could further develop your potentials, If you love your job now, then it may be hard to go and leave it, however think of your self and what you want to do with your career, a choice always has to be made and you have to make the right one. Know that since the company is like that now, troubled and has had a lot of problems... you do know you deserve better, right?

That's too bad you are thinking of quitting your job. Although, if it will make you happier, I am sure you can find another job or find a different way to make money. After all, life shouldn't be completely about making money. There is a "happiness" factor involved. While money matters, and bills must be paid, I think we would all take a cut in pay in order to be 'happy' in our careers.

I know how you feel. I have been there and now too, the salary is good but then every aspect of work you see them going wrong somewhere. After many months of contemplating resignation I came to this understanding. The higher the pay, the higher the glitches in the work system of the place you work at. Job satisfaction and high salary dont go together. So at the end we see what is important for us. I felt that getting a high pay and starting on getting some kind of savings under the belt was a priority as of now. SO then the high pay is important. Then I need to stick it out, irrespective of glitches. And finally whichever job you go to, there are always something that we dont like.
