Is it just me or has America been transported into the twilight zone? Seriously, how inherently wrong, on so many levels, is it when an American president, let alone a sitting one, publicly issues condolences to the family of a drug abusing musical has been (although she was an amazing artist in her time, she was a poor example later in life)Whitney Houston and then issues not even a thank you for a job well done to an American hero the likes of Chris Kyle.
Chris Kyle died trying to help a fellow soldier, Whitney houston died in a drug induced stupor.
Chris Kyle died doing what he had always done, help people.
Whitney Houston's death was self inflicted through years of abuse that finally caught up with her.
And yet, our president can't find the time or opportunity to offer condolences to his family or even thank him for a job well done.
Maybe Chris should have recorded an album....
What a schmuck we have for a president.

Only worried when he can kill a US citizen without a trial or anything else. This doesn't worry you - this scares the geepers out of a lot of people. If Bush would have killed a US citizens, the left would have revolted, but it ok when the Messiah Obama does it. An innocent 16 year boy was killed at the same time. And teh left have no problem with this.
The left who are supposed to be about the people, do not care that the POTUS can decide to kill a US citizen and his 16 year old son without any checks and balances. Wow, the left is not for the people anymore, they lost it. The left's true colors are showing again, but many do not notice because the MSM says different, and the left will keep worshipping their God, the MSM, and not think for themselves.

Funny how many of the left wingers cheering for the murder of American citizens who aren't charged with any crimes are often the same ones who insisted that we should give constitutional rights to foreign terrorists, captured overseas. A lot of those left wingers supporting this crap were also so sympathetic to John Walker Lindh. Strange how they weren't calling for him to be executed without a trial when Bush was president.

He has been the "celebrity president" from day one. I can't believe you are so surprised. This is a reflection of our society. Have you noticed there are no more GI Joe action figures, but there is Justin Beiber. How can congress (specifically Pelosi) say that pay cuts to congress is diminishing the dignity of the office, but they are cutting veteran's benefits, specifically medical. I think it is THEY and not pay cuts diminishing dignity.
There is still a group of patriotic people but that circle is getting smaller. Sure people are patriotic on the 4th of july but most aren't even really sure why.
Our leaders should be setting the tone and clearly Obama is...

It is sad that celebrities get so much attention when they die. They are humans, just like the rest of us. It is especially sad that a celebrity gets more mention that people who die to save others' lives. I agree with you on this.
On the other hand, I don't see why there's so much hate for Obama here on myLot. You would think (based on ideology of right-wing vs left-wing) there would tend to be more left-winged people here, as they often tend to have a lower income per capita.
