Jailbreaking your Iphone?

When your phone is on jailbreak, there are lots of benefits, like downloading paid applications for free, customize your phone etc. But there is also disadvantage if your phone was jailbroken. You cannot easily update your ios thru settings, if you download it directly to your settings, it will be broken just like my cousins ipad. My iphone is still under warranty that's why I haven't tried it. My cousin's ipad and iphone were jailbroken and they are enjoying lots of benefits on it. How about you guys, would you like to take the risk or not?

I was tempted to jailbreak but I guess I saw that I no longer needed to jailbreak the phone. The apps I need are usually free or if they're paid, they're paid for a reason (lots of updates and such). Further, they're not really expensive to begin with. I think when you choose to buy these gadgets, you should be ready for the costs as well. My sil's phone was jailbroken and she told me that there were times when it would really lag and hang. But she had no choice because the journals she needed for her profession were just really too expensive. I guess there are reasons for jailbreaking. But if it's just because of games, I'd rather not. Hehehe.. But I'm thinking of jailbreaking my iPhone 3Gs soon now that I've already upgraded. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

your right, you can only update it on your phone by removing first the jailbreak.. and also If your device is already jailbroken, dont ever do the "erase all content and settings" under general settings.. It can cause your device stuck on apple boot logo.. thanks for sharing.. XD

Have you tried it on your phone? I see lots of benefits on an iphone/ipad which is jailbroken. My cousin has an application Street fighter vs Tekken which is full version but mine was still limited version so I can't enjoy playing it

yes, Ive try it before.. when I tap "erase all content and settings" on my ipod touch 4g(jailbroken) for thinking that if I reset it directly on device I can restore it from itunes for a less time.. but when its done my ipod keeps rebooting and stuck in apple logo, so I don't have any choice but to throw it in DFU mode.. now my ipod is running on a latest version of 6.0.1 of firmware. but I still enjoy my ipod and iphone even without jailbreak. =) If you failed jailbreaking your iphone there is a possibility that you cant use its phone besides it looks like iphone touch...

Well, when I bought the iPhone,I asked the shop assistant to jailbreak my iPhone. Then I updated it to IOS6 and it became not jailbroken.I don't know what this is all about. My cousin said that I had better let it stay like that since once it ran into problems,it was hard to fix for the jailbroken iPhone.

if you're going to update, you will also use jailbreak applications to update your phone, or else it will be busted

I was shocked to learn that jailbreaking your iphone was actually legal. I was tempted to try it since I love customization and I was annoyed that you couldn't really customize much on your iphone. I really want to have a customized iphone but I decided not to jailbreak my phone since I don't want to deal with software problems or having to update and do this or that. I'm fine with how the phone is right now, it saves me the headache of trying to figure out how to jailbreak or fix issues if I decide to jailbreak it. I decided to just let it be.
