I went to Munnar recently. There was an orchard which was full of fruit trees, which belonged to my friend. We were staying in their home stay in Munnar called Silver Mount. There were many fruit trees in their orchard, but what I liked most was,the apricot and the strawberry's.We were allowed to pick as m any fruits as we wanted from the orchard. The sweet lime was another fruit we enjoyed. We also had sugarcane juice extracted out of sugar while on our way to Kandallur, which is forty kilometers from Munnar. Thus it was a fruit filled trip for all of us.We had ripe green and yellow bananas from Tamil Nadu border which is thirty kilometers from Munnar. And after we came back to Kochi we had a Jack fruit pie which is a sweet pulpy summer fruit of Kerala. Thus we enjoyed all summer and winter fruits during this trip to Munnar to our heart content.Even though in Kerala we had summer, due to high altitude,Munnar always had Sub-Zero climate and multicolored winter fruits like orange, sweet lime, guava, strawberry and apricot.

An orchard full of fruits! My goodness, that will make my day! I love fruits and all those you mentioned I really would enjoy eating day by day. I really do envy you my dear. Image you can just pick as many as you want! I can't do that here. I have to buy those fruits you mentioned at high price. All I have are mangoes and avocados in my backyard so they are the only fruits that I can eat for free. If I want other fruits, I have to buy. But I don't really mind buying because fruits are nutritious and honestly....I can't live happily without them.

Hi!
It is interesting to read your post and I could relate to your post. Few months ago we also went for an excursion trip to Kerala and it started from Cochin and then we proceeded to Munnar. Munnar is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
We also enjoyed cheap pineapple fruit, raw coconut water and not to mention different types of bananas available in Kerala and and on Tamil Nadu Border. We get almost a single variety bananas here in Delhi, however, it was great fun to taste different types of bananas with different taste and flavors over there.

I love fruits. I have my own apricot tree in my back yard and it has enough fruit to make jams to give out as presents and to have jams for my grandchildren for the whole year. But today I went to the biggest veggies and fruits market in the city where I live and saw all sorts of awesome fruits and bought some. I have now mongos, canteloupes, strawberries, Peaches, apples and oranges. As usual, I bought more than what I should. But when I go there, I can`t stop myself. I become a compulsive buyer.
