Does anyone else collect hotel soap?

I have been doing so since about 2000. We travel somewhat often, and stay at random hotels in varied areas. I had seen it years ago in a tip on traveling, to snag the unused bar of soap, and I suppose, I just always have. Now, I have hundreds. I started labeling them with the date and location a few years after. Do you collect them? Would you think it was strange if you stumbled on a hoard of them in someone's house?

My husband and I travel a lot, and yes, I collect those complimentary toiletries. Just because they come in this cute tiny bottles that are just perfect when travelling and for hand carry bags at airports. I don't see anything wrong with that. They also come in handy when we go camping or swimming as we don't need to carry the ones we have at home that come in huge family sized bottles.

The bottles are perfect for flying. There have been times I have forgotten to put them in a plastic bag and was never bothered about not doing it, perhaps since most of them are such tiny amounts. They take up so little space it is nice to have a few different kinds without taking up so much space.

I take them instead of just leaving unused bar of soap in my hotel room when we check out. I suppose in the beginning I somewhat collect them as I've always put them in a large bowl until it's about full. But I don't really have the collector passion towards them and I started using them one by one.

I have used some, from time to time, I guess I just noticed I have collected more than used, so far. For ones from a vacation, I make sure I write the date and other information, I suppose, as another keepsake.

I always grab them, but I don't "collect" them. Do you only collect the ones you grab yourself, or do you try to collect them from places you haven't been?
