I really want fish tacos today here.
I have a few talapia fish fillets I can use to make them.
I have cabbage and lemons and chilis.
What others kind of fish can I use to make them?
Do you make fish tacos in your country?
We really like them alot here, in Mexico.

hi maria
Thanks for this discussion, first of all i don't know what is fish 'taco'; i live very near to river Mahanadi, so we get fresh sweet water fish in our market, the fish sellers deliver in our homes, my wife cooks fish adding lot of spices, also deep fry them, we eat non-veg on sundays usually.

Deep fried fish sounds good. Do you flour them or just like they are?

I've had fish tacos, but I haven't made them. My boyfriend isn't one for fish, and I rarely make tacos. So...
My pick would be either tilapia or salmon, and I would load the taco up with spinach, tomato and onion. Top it all with some good shredded cheese (preferably just shredding part of a block of the good stuff yourself rather than buying a bag of the overpriced pre-shredded), and you are set.

I personally don't make fish tacos but the restaurants here in America do make them and they are okay. Tho my hubby really likes them a lot. You can use just about any blackened fish. Any fish will would but i'm not so sure about ones like tuna or swordfish or catfish. Tho like i said i'm sure any fish will do just not so sure about those kinds.

No, I do make those. I know there are some restaurants that serves them but to me I do not think they taste good. But, of course I am not a big fish person. I will only eat shrimp or fried fish fillets. But, my husband who loves fish does not think that fish tacos sound good either.
