I've been hearing a lot of politics noise lately.
The other week there was this news about three senatorial candidates removed from the group because they were not attending the activities. And the issue continues up to now. Why would this group invite these three when it was clear in the political ads that they belong to the other? A bit confusing. Maybe, I just don't know politics, I'm not good at that.
What's happening in Manila is another one. In the news, we could hear the candidates bashing here and there. In other parts, there's this rivalry between members of the family. Even killings happen because of political rivalry. I just hope that the coming elections would be generally peaceful.
Philippines is a beautiful place, but....
I'm just wondering, does this happen in other countries? Or only in the Philippines?

Hi! Yes they are all over the news. Last night I also heard that Grace Poe, Loren Legarda and Escudero were removed from being guest candidates of for, I heard this is because they failed to attend even one of the campaigns which is part of the agreement.
I believe they were adopted by UNA to guest in their list even if they belong to Team Pinoy because their presence will also boost their line up. I think these 3 senators are topping the surveys and maybe UNA would want to take advantage of that. They are popular to the voting public so if they will show up in their campaigns, that will draw more crowd. But unfortunately, for one reason or another, the 3 failed to show up in any of their campaigns. Now that the heat is on how would you expect UNA to react? Bitter, jealous, angry or course!
That's politics indeed. I even saw the daughter of Binay expressing his disappointment over Grace Poe. Indeed in politics, there is no permanent alliance or opponent. Now they are friends... tomorrow they are foes.
Politics in the Philippines is dirty because the voters allow it so. If only all will be wiser in using our rights to vote, then these dirty politicians won't be in power anymore. Well it happens in many countries actually.
Anyway, I share the same sentiment with yours, I pray the coming election will be generally peaceful and clean as well. Philippines is a beautiful country indeed and it will be even more beautiful if the government will be run by straight and honest people.

I didn't even think there would be such thing as "guest" candidates, I would remind myself not to vote for them. they don't know what principles should they be following under a party. sad to know that there is no permanent person in the party that makes her goals and principles doubtful. sad to know thre are no permanent friends but only interest.

Hello djoyce, this is happening also in the united states were republicans, democrats, libertarians and the tea party that are against each other. now, in our country, there's largely two known factions, one is team pnoy and the other is UNA. there's too many accusations left and be able to analyze who runs for the country better.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, the moment the elections are approaching such things become very common. Even here in India, the situation intensifies during the elections where one can see violence too often in the public scene. This is common in most of the countries and not in Philippines only.
What say?

This kind of noise is quite common in every country. We too have such kind of issues in our country too.
