Yes, you can certainly improve your vocabulary and English by being a member of MyLot. Many people use it for exactly that.
Your level of English doesn't matter too much when you post, so long as you can make yourself understood. One thing that MyLot does NOT allow is any criticism of your English (unless, of course, you specifically ask for it).
One thing you should certainly do is to read the Guidelines (and the FAQs) so that you understand what is and is not allowed. It wouldn't be permissible, for example, to ask simply "What does [...] mean?" because that would be called a "poll type" question - (1) you can easily find the answer in a dictionary and (2) it is not a 'discussion' topic because there is likely to be just a one-word, correct answer.

He's referring to this on that second paragraph:
"DON'T post discussions, responses or comments criticizing members for bad/broken English or bad spelling. Everyone is welcome at myLot, we have users from all around the world and they are welcome regardless of their proficiency with the English Language."
That's from myLot Guidelines which, as he mentioned on the last paragraph, should be read along with the FAQs.
They are written in easy-to-understand English and they will help you to enjoy this site even more.
This site is quite accommodating to those whose English is not their first language.

It would involve asking a lot of questions. You might have to read a lot and respond back with questions about what you do not understand and if asked try to say it differently so to be understood. It could be fun. It is nice to talk about something that interests us as well.

All I can suggest if you feel that way is to be polite.
If you feel you have said something not proper it is a very little word to write "sorry".
However, if you think people are mad just because they are mad ignore them.
If at anytime you are confused then ask what do you mean or I do not understand.
Get rid of nervousness by having a discussion with someone who seems to want to have a discussion with you.
Hope this is helpful.

Once again...LoKoMoMe..WELCOME to myLot, and it is a wonderful place to improve your written English.
That, too, is also included in the FAQ's and guidelines, which I hope you will read and try and absorb.
I am wondering if you are reading the responses to the discussions YOU HAVE started, as I have noticed that you are NOT replying to the responses to your discussions. If you choose not to reply...there will come a time, when other members will lose interest in responding, because you are not discussing anything with them.
Please understand, I am not being mean...but this is a discussion site, and a discussion takes the input of two people!

Of course, you are absolutely on the right way. I should say that I joined in this site four years ago just aiming to earn some extra money. But later I realized that from Mylot apart from just earning I can really improve my English, the way I use it and also my General Information also. I get to know so many thngs from here which I didn't get even from newspaper. When you start concentrate on these things your earnings will also grow.

myLot is one of the best sites you can use to practice your English. I am myself actively encouraging my friends who are learning English to join this site so that they could write and read more English. Sharing views, offering opinions, discussing issues, learning something new from other members etc are just the stuff here that could be quite addictive. The monetary rewards are just meant to make it sweeter.

Hi friend ! Mylot is a place for good learning because no one can bring you down here , no one can be rude because of grammar. All are respected here , so with your own phase you will improve and grow soon and inorder to do achieve that , is you need to be active here . You need to post many discussion , so you will be develop in writing sentences . You will then strive to write the correct spelling , punctuation and sense of a sentence. You will also then respond to the comments given , that is another way for improvement, you will interact with different opinions there. A very beautiful way of learning. Good Luck !

Yes. I believe writing here in myLot will help improve your English. You will become more confident in using English as time passes by since you use the language more often. However, you also have to read books about grammar and vocabulary. You can't just rely on things that you can read here. Mylotters are from different countries and sometimes you will read comments with wrong grammar. So you should be very cautious. If you feel that you've read something wrong, compare it with the dictionary. Never 100% depend on mylotters. You have to study the language by yourself.

Mylot is a good place to hone your English. Just stay active and [artoco[ate om discussions, and try to make proper sentences, ones that everyon4e can understand, and you will do just fine. A lot of users have perfeted their English, and if they hadn't come into mylot, it might not have happened. you seem to be doing quite well with your English now, but being in here, will help to make it better. Take care, and have a very good day.

You can improve your vocabulary treasury as long as you keep posting many topic f discussions in mylot. My vocabulary also being improved by starting and replying many discussions on mylot. I enjoy my English vocabulary is improving here. But we need also to improve our grammar. Vocabulary is not enough in English. We can learn grammar by joining English course and learning from grammar books.
