I wish to see more of my home country: Europe. On my trip I am hoping to visit Ukraine and Moldova for certain.
Islands like Iceland and Cyprus are harder to get to. These I would have to reach by plane. One day I might get a plane to Iceland and spend a short time there due to its high prices. In the future I might be able to get a cheap one or two week package holiday to Cyprus. I can then add my own plans to that once I reach that country.
How about you?

Well, I live in North America. I've been to Mexico, but not to Canada. People say, how can you live in America and not have been to Canada? Well, I live in Oklahoma. If you look at a map I am way far down from Canada. I have however, traveled all over my own country. I've been to 32 of our 50 states. I have loved seeing so much of my country, but I'd like someday to make it to New York and Wyoming. I know, kind of strange to want to see two wildly different states, but that is my main goal. But I'd like to go to Canada. I want to see where the TV movies Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea were filmed.

In 2010 I booked a flight to Halifax wishing to see Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. I read the Anne of Green Gables books and saw the filmed. Sadly that flight was canceled. I couldn't find a similar flight. So I decided to go to Vancouver instead. That was a fantastic destination. I would love to see more places in beautiful Canada. I know that the USA is a huge country. Yes, you are a long way down from the border of Canada. Some day I hope you will visit New York and contrasting Wyoming.

I have visited Ukraine twice and Moldova once. They are certainly different from what we are used to but people are so generous and friendly. I would like to see more of your country. I watched the Doc Martin series on TV and I am pining to see Devon and Cornwall. Also the Cotswolds and Scotland. When I was young I was in Ireland once for a few days. I still remember the vivid green and the interesting landscape. Now I am old and I have a couple of places on my bucket list in my own country Canada. I have visited every province except New Foundland and 2 of the three territories. I have booked a vacation in Newfoundland for this fall and hopefully I will live long enough to visit the other remaining territories. The distances here are enourmous and since I am retired on a fixed income it takes me a long time to save up. Good luck with your plans. Cyprus sounds very interesting but be careful it is a troubled region.

Thanks for your wonderful response. Good luck visiting Newfoundland this autumn time. I visited Vancouver and a little more of British Columbia. Yes, distances in Canada can be huge. I hope you visit the Cotswolds, Devon, Cornwall and Scotland in my home country. It is lovely to read you have been to Ukraine twice and Moldova once.

I would like to go to South Dakota and see Mount Rushmore. When my husband was alive, he wanted us to go all over Canada, but cannot see going to the North West Territories and seeing just tundra, but would not mind seeing the Yukon. I also want to go to New York City, see Ontario, and maybe go to Mexico if it is not too dangerous. But most I want to go to the Caribbean and to Europe, but don't have the money.

I hope that you will be able to visit South Dakota and Mount Rushmore. I am sure you would find a visit to New York very exciting. It is quite pricey to fly to Europe from North America. I had a happy time visiting Mexico in 2006. St Lucia is the only Caribbean Island I have visited and it was lovely. I know must of the islands are expensive. My trip to Eastern Europe will be budget minded. Good luck with your future finances.

I was on a visit to countryside for last ten days. I enjoyed the nature and the simplicity of village people. There was no air pollution. I took fresh breath. I hope your Europe tour would be very interesting.

There are many places in South America that I haven`t seen and want to see. Probably these next years I will go there as I don`t have as much money as I used ot and travelling near home is cheaper. I would like to go to several places in Brasil, I`d like to go to Quito, Ecuador. And I would also like to see some places I haven`t visited in Central America.

Ironically Cyprus was the first country I ever flew too! It was a four hour flight from Gatwick, I remember enjoying the take off, but found the flying time very boring, nothing to see and nothing to look out the window for! I didn't like the landing and I was glad to hit terra firma, safely that is! I have no plans to travel at all in the next few years, basically my main focus is to get back into employment again after a long gap and to get my own place. Funny now I have hit my forties I don't have the travelling bug I once had, maybe it's something I've grown out of, the last time I went abroad, but in the same continent was in 2007! Seems like a lifetime ago now.

I don't think I will ever get rid of my travel bug Wolfie. Yes, flying can be ever so boring. I prefer land transport like trains but they are slow and only go to a limited number of destinations.
Good luck getting your ideal job. Then you will be able to get your own place and have a much happier time.

I think my sister has made it to every state in the U.S. I have not.
I would like to, but I would rather not travel if it means that I would have to find the money to take care of the critters while I'm gone.
I guess other than travel to Europe or the middle east (after things settle down) to seen ancient sites.
If Mexico wasn't so dangerous right now, I would like to travel and see the Mayan ruins or, even better, to South America to see the Incan ones.

It is wonderful that your sister has visited every one of the states of the USA. Wow! I understand that is a huge country and Hawaii plus Alaska are far away form any other of the states. I have visited California and Hawaii. In 2006 I loved seeing the Mayan ruins in Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. I hope things will soon settle down in the Middle East.

I'd like to take the children to the east coast next year. They want to go to Orlando and see the Harry Potter attraction at Universal, and I want them to meet my aunts, uncles and cousins, and see some of the historic sites, especially Washington DC.

There are several places in Europe I would like to visit during the next couple of years. I would love to visit Ukraine and Moldova. In Ukraine I want to visit Kiev, Lviv and Odessa and in Moldova I want to visit Chisinau and maybe Balti or Tiraspol. My husband, a friend and I also plan a trip to the Faroe islands and Iceland. There is a ferry from the north of Denmark and we will be able to visit the Faroe islands and Iceland on the same trip. I have never been to Portugal and I would like to visit Portugal and a couple of places in Spain. I have already visited many places in the south of Spain, but I have never been to Barcelona and Madrid. I would also like to visit the countries in Ex-Yugoslavia and Albania.

Good luck with your trip to the Faroe Islands and Iceland. Going with your husband and a friend should be lovely for you. Yes, the countries that used to be Yugoslavia seem very interesting to me. I would love to visit Sarajevo and Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina most of all in that region. Albania would be an exciting place to visit. I would travel to a neighboring country like Macedonia and get a bus to Albania from the there. I am very much looking forward to visiting Ukraine and Moldova this year.

I was at Iceland with 4 friends 1.5 years ago. Now, we had expected that I and the Swiss member of the party would find it quite normal (as Norway and Switzerland aren't really cheap countries either), but the 3 Brits didn't find it too bad either. We rented a flat in Reykjavik and stayed in youth hostels on the other places we went to, and ate out in the evenings but made lunch etc in the flat/youth hostel. The most expensive thing we did was rent a big car :-) Petrol wasn't too bad though.
I'm planning to go back Iceland, also planning to go back to Britain and Finland. I really like to go back to Shteland, Orkney and the Faroes, I might see if I can get there somehow this summer. It's easier getting to Iceland than the Faroes, there's not a lot of planes and if I want to take the ferry I have to go quite far south in Denmark. It used to go to Bergen in Norway but now it only goes to Denmark :-/

I really enjoyed reading about what you said about Iceland. Renting the flat was a good idea and so was staying in the youth hostels where you could self cater. I am sure that seeing the landscape from a big car was ideal. Ferry routes can change. It is encouraging that you wish to go back to beautiful Iceland.

Hi Maximax!
Long time no chat. For the next 3 years, I am planning to go to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan, UAE and Georgia. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar, I would like to see more temples and stuff. I have a great curiousity about those places. For Nepal and Bhutan, I would like to experience what highlands living feels like. As for UAE, Dubai specificially, they say it is a nice and exciting city to be in. Also, I would like to sand board in their deserts. As for Georgia, I was charmed by their city's European appeal but still they are in Asia.

we are in Asia and for a travel addict like me I wish I could visit every country here. My top favorite is to be at Hongkong wherein I can experience the magic of Disneyland, next is Singapore so I can go some shipping on fashionable wears. Third is Korea where I want to experience wearing their national dress as shown in their TV shows and movies. :)
