When Will Racism Ever Die?

I'm an outbound call center agent whose account is bound for Australia. Funny thing about these people are they love their country/state so much that they barely do business with people from overseas. Well, that's not my problem. The thing is, they're the country that suppresses black people like a lifestyle. If you'll study their culture, treating blacks for them is just a walk in the park and they don't even think of it as an offense. I can't acquit to this because I studied the country "Australia" for almost a month just to get myself braced with how the people their walk in life. Of course, I'm just talking to them over the phone so I really need to, at least, compensate with their characteristics. What's worst, once they found out that you're accent is kinda different from them, most especially if you sound like an Englishman, they'll hang-up right away. I've got nothing against their stand or their principles about it. It's just unfair that they try to decipher people on the color of their skins or the tone of their voice. In fact, there are citizens in Australia who were born overseas get suppressed. I tried convincing myself on a bias-perspective that it's simply because of their culture and history. But, at the end of the day, you'll still realize that it's completely wrong. I hope people who read this won't get me wrong, I'm just trying to see the reason behind all this sordid scenarios.

As long as there are things that make us different there will be prejudice. It's sad but true.

Prejudice in one form or another is not going away. Fortunately, in my experience, most people (here in the US) are pretty cool with people of different religions, ethnicities, etc., even if they have prejudices. Else, we couldn't exist.
