I dont know why but all my thoughts mostly come crashing down on me when i am on my bed far away from a paper and pen or computer..but i dont have any compulsive disorder so i dont bother to leave my bed and write down them immediately ;-) i decide to make a post after sometime when i find myself able to sit on computer but most of the time when i wake-up and come to make a post all my creative thoughts have been gone from mind and i can hardly recollect them..isn't it like rabbits..you cant catch them when you want, they come to you only when they want..:)

You should have a note pad by your bed at all times. I always think late at night that I will remember things until the morning but I never do. Rabbits are flighty like alot of wild animals.

You did a good job on the expression. Hope you get in the habit of keeping a notepad and pen near by. Hate for you to lose good ideas.

What a coincidence!Yesterday a nice thought struck my mind.I had then just switched off the light and was going to sleep.I thought to write it down in my notebook, but as I was extremely tired by then,I could not summon courage to leave bed and put it down.So I repeated it again and again mentally and got dast asleep within minutes.Today when I got up and sat before my pc and tried to initiate a discussion on it,it had disappeared from my mind.I have trying to remind it since morning, but in vain.My mind is blank.

I like the rabbits analogy, I see thoughts are like buses you wait ages for a good one, then three come along at the same time. Usually I find great ideas for discussions when lying in bed, and I can't settle, so yes I am the type who has to get up and write it down, mainly because I know I will wake up and the thought has vanished like a rabbit down it's hole.

Hi!
Your concluding statement made me laugh ..... lol...
It is interesting to know that 'thoughts' are like rabbits and they come to us when we do not need them.
I think it happens with everyone. When any idea to start a new post comes to our mind we may not be near our PC or laptop and when we are in front of our PC, thoughts just vanish and our mind goes blank.
You could keep a small diary and pen to jot down yr thought or if you keep your mobile on your bed side while lying, you could draft an SMS and could either save it a draft or could send it to yourself.
All the best.

glad i could make you laugh ;) I didn't said, 'they come to us when we do not need them' I said "they come to us when they want to be with us".. We have a pet rabbit many years ago, it was a tough task to catch him as my friends came to our home and wanted to touch him and play with him..He used to come to us when he wanted to being scratched or sleep in lap..

Thanks for explaining the logic between rabbits and thoughts. ;)
Let your considered thoughts be not allowed to behave like rabbits ...... lol!
Catch them as per suggestions offered by mylotters.

Well if your thoughts are something that you really consider as creative, then you just need to have to jot it down while on bed. It will be such a waste if you would not be able to share them to people whom it could be of help.

Well, not literally beside you on your bed but at least on a table near you. Just keep it within your reach so that if you happen to think of something, and you are unable to log in, then you can just write it down and save it till the next time that you can go online.

This happens to me all the time. When I'm having my shower, when I'm doing the laundry, when I'm in the car, when I'm trying to get some sleep. Whenever it happens I get very lazy to jot it down. So I resolve by trying as hard as I can to remember all the keywords to the random thoughts I'm having. Most of the time it doesn't work! Turns out, I remember the keyword and only that. The rest are gone just like that.

Thoughts and rabbits... Funny, this actually made me smile. But it happens with me too. Last night while lying in bed, I suddenly got two ideas for my upcoming articles. Thankfully I am able to retain my thoughts when I wake up in the morning whenever I think of an idea at night. Most of us are too tired and exhausted to get up and pen down our thoughts before going to sleep, but if possible try jotting down some important pointers with which you can relate in the morning and recollect your thoughts.
