Oh btw I have this obsession with food to a point that I get sick.literally.like I get stomachache, and have a hard time breathing.lol it's true. I can't sleep at times due to too much eating, my stomach is still busy digesting all the food I took while my eyes are shutting off, and i become anxious. See? they don't get along well.. :). But eating is fun, much as i enjoy food, im also on the process of gaining weight. That has been my goal since, its taking me forever to gain a pound. And Oh! I love green food, my favorites! I'm very conscious with what I eat but of course there are cheat times, too.Im suffering insomnia so I watch what I eat since food contributes to a good sleep, too. Lately, I eat an apple before going to bed every night thought it might help but a friend of mine told me that apple is best eaten in the morning not at night as it is acidic thus excites the stomach resulting in difficulty of sleeping.
Attached is my fav Food, try it :) it supercalifragilistic :)

Maybe instead of eating, try drinking water or warm milk or herbal tea. This will help calm you down and send the sensation of being full. It might pose some bladder problems but it is definitely better than to get sick because of eating too much.

Haah! I love food myself, and I'm already diabetic, so I'm not really in the mood to suggest that you'll stop. Hehe!
But, for the non-dieter's method of stopping a mad craving? I just give in to it. xD
Like there was a three-week stretch that I WANTED CRAVED WOULD CRAWL FOR McDonald's Caramel/Hot Fudge Sundaes.
So I gave in to that craving, even if it meant that my blood sugar would spike up to unreal proportions.
Since last week, I have NOT craved for the crazy Sundaes. xD Coincidence? No. It was just simple desensitization, though I didn't really plan to get desensitized from the thing.xD
I guess the other suggestions on this thread are also fair: It's also about the tea, and about cleansing your palate, as well. :)
As for your favorite food, is this "adobong kangkong"? I love that as well! Had it for 2 weeks on end. Now I'm craving for it again! xD
Hope all else goes well with you! :)

I am surprised... i think you are eating too much because you were eating too fast. I have heard that whenever you eat fast you usually do not notice that you were already full because your stomach sends the signal later to your brain... so when you actually feel so full that is because you have eaten more than you can actually handle in your stomach. Hiya kathy,
I would try drinking something instead like red tea infusion not too strong with a peppermint (poleo/menta) very little sugar and sip it as slow as you can savour the taste for as long as you can it should dilate the tummy and make you feel full for a while and help release any problem that you might have. Not everyone can digest food at so late an hour.
Me myself have eaten two apples at night and have not had that acidic problem because we are all different.
Right now I am a bit hungry and I only drink half the red tea I am making and save the rest for later helps take the edge off the hunger pangs.

If you have trouble to sleep do not eat food that takes long to digest (a hot meal takes 8 hours so you know at what time you will wake up or sleep badly if you eat that). There is nothing wrong with eating 6-8 times a day just a very small meal but an obsession means there is nothing else you can think about. Is that true? An obsession is ruling your life.

Your question is how to stop wanting more, so I guess I'm gonna say something about that:) I love eating, firstly, just like you. But over the years I've got heavier and less pretty IMO,so I began to control the amount of food I eat each meal. I think the following tips might be useful in order to eat less and control our weight: 1. Avoid availing yourself of food material or snacks that are high in calorie and easy to get you fat; i.e. don't buy it in the first place, or control the amount you buy; 2. After each meal, don't sit down immediately, and stand up while watching tv, making phone calls, etc. 3. Lessen your amount of food for three days, and eat regularly during that time, your stomach will get smaller, and you'll find it much easier to feel full and good; you will also feel hungry less often when your stomach gets smaller. 4. Milk helps sleep, too. I don't think eating apple at night is good for your stomach, unless it is very healthy. But still, I'll prefer a glass of warm milk. You can steep some oat and honey in your milk. It's good for relieving the nerves and also for the intestine and stomach.

you need to find away that you are not eating a heavy or acid food just before bed
