I've been doing my job for 5 years now and I am starting to get bored. I feel lazy going to work and I always look at my clock asking myself, why is the time so slow.I want to quit and find new company that will bring my passion back but I don't know where to start. I am thinking negative things and now I am losing my confidence. Hayyy

Hi Gina!
First of all, identify the reason/s why you came to a point of losing interest with your present job. Then once you identified the reason then that would be the time that you could address any particular problem and plan what your are supposed to do in order to stay enthusiastic with you job.
Also try to recall the time when you are just looking for a job. And please look around you, there are many people who are looking for a job yet to no avail. You are still lucky to have that job so just find a way to keep and or maintain your enthusiasm.
Have a nice day!

WELCOME TO MYLOT.
I can understand,If you don't like your work, you can't escape feeling bore.I am sure you don't like your work. There are a couple of solutions to this problem.Either change your work or change yourself and begin loving your work. The truth is that there is nothing bore or interesting, easy or difficult. These things are just our perceptions.Bore, interesting, easy, difficult etc are all misnomers. The work that is boring for you may be extremely interesting for somebody else.Anything that is difficult for me may be very very easy for you.
If you don't like your work, you better look out for another work that you love to do.
By the way,I wish you an exceptional, resounding success in Mylot. My best wishes.

I have the same thoughts as you right now. The difference is I have already made up my mind. I have not been happy with the work I do now. I have given all my effort and commitment to the boss but in the end a lot of it is not being appreciated. I have decided to exit the company I work for and think of my next moves after I leave. Some may say that it is not very wise to quit your job until you have a new job on stand by. I am willing to take the risk because I think that being unhappy with the work you do is not the way to live life.

Life is same for all people and God has never shown any difference between man to man. It is us who are very selfish and greedy always. So,you have to look at the positive side of the life to bring energy and enthusiasm. This is foremost important and confirmed status of the life.

If you are getting bored, maybe it's time to ask your immediate superior for a more diverse work load? Or a change in what you do. I am sure that they will just be happy to know that you want to do something that will benefit both you and the company. Or maybe you just need a break from the daily grind. Take a couple of days off and enjoy your vacation. Relax and re-energize. If despite all that you still think that you should quit, well, don't do it unless you already have another job waiting for you. It is a bad move to resign from your work if you don't have a back up plan.

Hello Ginaongonion this is checkmail and every person might feel such same thing after an good run, and than an flat run.But do look at its gains first, did you achieve anything from your 5yrs job. There is your answer, make few changes to freshness current life with few extra activities or some socializing stuff.
You always would have option to hook up to new job, business, etc stuff.
But before it you should freshness by yourself not by jobs or same thing might happen later.

try to divert your mind to something positive, look for the good and benefit you in your current company. and you try to think more about this, if you feel uncomfortable with the new company, if you can go back to the old company? I thought it was just a moment of boredom, you try to make new things diperusahaan you, so you feel comfortable and not boring.

I wonder what makes you feel bored. But if it's the only thing that gives you money then you should continue with your job

I encountered already a discussion like this, I think that is normal to feel bored with the job if you are doing or performing the same task everyday, as I've read in some articles that when you feel bored with your job, before quitting you should take some steps or measures to solve your boredom. First you can invent or initiate challenging task related to your everyday task. Try to connect with other people/ interesting people in your work place to acquire new skills from them.
But for me, try to figure out what really the problem why you are bored already.
Sometimes that boredome signifies that your current work is not actually a job that you want or you love to do. In that case, you should look for the job that really interest you.

Perhaps you don't have enough responsibilities. Lack of this will get you bored. If theres a possibility for promotion then maybe you should try and achieve that. With a higher rank you'll be responsible for more things and the work might not seem so monotonous. In the mean time you can also take time discover other things you might enjoy. If you're not sure look for something in the same industry you're in now but with better conditions. Maybe there are similar companies to yours that offer more interesting job positions.

Been in the situation when I was in a bank for 6 years. I know exactly how it feels to get bored with daily routine. What I did was, I evaluated the pros and cons being in that job.I also had some confidence issues. After self evaluation, I "pulled up" my last card (which is my confidence), I look for another job (different nature of course) and when I got hired, I resigned from other company. I believe that if you are not happy with what you are doing, you got to find ways to "enjoy" or find different thing to do. Don't lose hope and always believe in yourself. Good luck!

Try to find a new job and till that time stay on the job you are. Think well about what do you like to do from deep of your heart. make a list of those thing, and then for each of that make step by step act and go for that.
