Sometimes my desktop is getting re-started frequently of no particular reason. I have checked out all the power connections for loose fittings...no use.... the same situation is still existing... I removed both rams and get cleaned so many times.... still ,no result ultimately i replaced ddr1 rams inside the cpu... then also the problem is repeated. Many times it works well continuously without stopping, but suddenly having no reason it is restarts itself.... I am very curious to find it's solution by any means getting suggestions from your side.... What more should have i to implement to suppress it's bad condition?...

Hi, After eliminating the power supply unit as the reason for he restart, you should consider a thermal problem with the CPU. It has a built in system that shuts it down to prevent damage when the temperature goes way too high. You should check the cooling system for a faulty or dusty fan or loose contact on the heat sink. It is a tricky operation to dismantle the heat sink and fan assembly for check up and cleaning so you should refer this to a qualified service technician.

Most probably it has a virus. So you need to have it reformatted. It will work normally after that.

Did you ever try to get it the OS uninstalled, then have it installed back? It might help restore your laptop.

Well it doesn't seems hardware problem so there is no need of cleaning those RAMs I think its a problem of operating system so try to repair it with the help of windows installation disk. And if that doesn't work then perform a clean installation of windows.

It's sad that your desktop is not working 100%. It could have some issue's regarding Softwre issue or error. Error generated by your software can cause Unexpected reboot. Hardware issue, Virus related problem. A Virus named "blaster virus" are to reboot the system without any warning And could be problem with your Operationg System that are you using. I Have face issue like your few year's back,There was problem with my Power Supply. From where we used to turn on or off the desktop. That supply of mine system became weak due to constant direct switch of or restart from system button instead of Operating system shutdown. If this problem continues do check your system to a computer repair man. I thing power supply of your systrm could be need to replace if other issue's did't exit of Software or Window. Hope this will give you some help.
