Tips for writing on Helium?

I recently joined helium and wrote a few articles. I have earned 12 cents after rating about 23 articles and writing seven articles. Two of my articles were deleted because supposedly they were not up to the standards of Helium writing. I like that you can continue to earn on your articles, it is a unique way to earn money. Instead of earning one time, you can continue to earn as long as the article is published and you rate the minimum required. I don’t particularly care for the rating, but don’t hate it either. I don’t mind doing the minimum rating. I am just worried that I will put all this time and effort into writing articles to only earn a few cents. I don’t want to wait months to finally receive $25.
I have heard good and bad things about helium. I've read that people can earn quite a decent amount if they are good writers, publish good quality articles, and publish a lot of articles. I don’t mind to write more, and even put the time into it. I’ve also heard that there are a lot of people who only earn around seven cent a week and don’t earn any more than that.
I got a little discouraged after Helium deleted two of my articles. I still want to try and earn more, and hopefully this will amount to some decent cash. I don’t mind writing a lot of articles as long as it leads to decent amount of money in the future, or even now.
Does anyone have any tips or advice for me?
Do you think Helium is worth the time and effort?

I started writing for helium a few months ago, and have had a similar experience to you. My first couple of articles were deleted, and it nearly put me off. But I also wrote a few poems, and contributed to a debate, and then I went back there, and saw I had a few cents in revenue share, so I carried on.
I have now written about 30 articles, though it has taken a long time. I just decided to put loads of links into my articles and make sure they were long enough and I had done so much research that they couldn't be deleted. Though it is hard work, for me its been useful as I have massively improved my background knowledge, and increased my confidence.
When I started and just had poems I found I was getting 3 cents a day in revenue share and worked out it would take me about 7 years to reach payout, but I did quite a lot of articles with upfront payment, and have reached payout now, so it didn't take 7 years, more like 3 months.
Having articles deleted knocked my confidence, but I just carried on. I would just do some of the articles with upfront payment and make them as good as you can, and if you get the payment great, but if you don't consider it something useful learnt. After all if you did research you can probably use it somewhere else.
I see helium as a way for me to develop writing skills, and that is what I needed. I now have enough articles that I am pleased with that I am now looking at how to market them myself, I have a tumblr account, and have recently used that to write about what I had written, which has slightly increased my page views.
My view is that it depends what you want from helium, for me it gives me what I need, so I like it, but it probably isn't right for everyone, but I love the assignments and I have found out both what I like writing about, and what I am good at, through it, which is good for me.
So, that's my view.

Helium has a very strict code for writers.
You cannot use a single "I" in the sentence, because they want magazine style of writing.
You have to write in second person or third person.
That means using "you" or "they" in the article.
I have stopped writing long ago, and my 300 plus articles are still making money for me.
The best is that you stop writing for a while, and spend more time on rating.
You can get a rating bonus of 3 dollars if you have 5 rating stars.
When you rate, you can read the content to see the kind of articles that Helium wants.
You can also take note of the interesting titles.

Yes, it's going to take me a while to stop using the word I in articles I publish on the website. I like the fact that you stopped writing long ago and are still making money. That is what attracts me to the web. Hopefully I will have the same luck as you have, and continue to earn articles. I need to write more though because seven articles is not that many. Especially compared to 300. Thanks for letting me know about the rating bonus.

Last time I was on Helium, which was a long time ago, you could accept assignments. Assignments usually pay more than seven cents and you get instructions so that you have some guidance on how to write your article. I did one or two and they were accepted. Maybe you could try this Helium feature and make more money. GL

Hi! Is helium the only writing site that you have now? What I know is that other writing sites allowed articles to be republished.
Basically, the main thing that we should establish in writing is the quality of the article. I am not yet a member of Helium but I am a member of other writing sites online.
About the deleted articles, you should read their guidelines because your article/s might not reach the qualifications to be published in their site or might have violated some of the rules.
Have a nice day!

Hi ! I have been to some writing sites but they really pay less unless you got a lot lot of readership then you can expect for high earnings. what i observed in writing sites is you have first to establish a name there and after having a name , sure enough many will follow your work which yields to an increase of your page views. Increase page views means an increase your earnings.
