This is just another one of those amazing stories.
So there's this girl in Cuba, named Yoani Sanchez. She's lived under the oppressive Castro socialist since she was born.
She's been active in blogging about the harsh realities of life in Cuba, which is in sharp contrast to the garbage you see in movies like Sicko, where Michael Moron takes people to Cuba for health care, and plays it off like that's how Cuban citizens live. (in reality Cuban nationals are not allowed by law to use tourist hospitals)
At any rate, this lady has been harassed by the government, kidnapped by government thugs, accused of counter-revolutionary activities and detained for weeks.
For some 50 years, it was not legal for people to travel to other countries from Cuba, even though tourism for other people to visit Cuba was perfectly allowed. Again, Castro ran Cuba like a prison population, because if they left the Socialist Utopia, people had an odd habit of never coming back.
Apparently the workers socialist paradise was just too euphoric for it's citizens.
So finally, after all these years, Cuba allows this lady Yoani Sanchez to go on a trip outside Cuba.
Now get this, after all the oppression she goes through... she heads to Brazil, and these socialists idiots show up and start booing her.
Really??
Here this lady has sacrificed and fought for the freedom in general, and specifically for the freedom to just go to another country, and this is how you respond to her? Booing her for daring to question government?
This is why leftists are such hypocrites. Questioning government is fine, and great and encouraged, and freedom is always supported by the leftists.....
...unless.... it's freedom from them. Unless it's freedom from their power. Unless they are running the government, and then you are not allowed to question them.
If you dare to expose the truth, dare to question them, dare to fight for freedom from their control, then you get boo'd and opposed, and how dare you.
Leftist = hypocrisy.

Kinda like the journalist Woodward, who exposed Nixon's lies and whose reporting led to Nixon's resignation.
He was told by a White House staffer that he would 'regret' his decsion to call Obama's decisions 'madness' and claiming the president was 'moving the goa posts' on the debate.
Woodward claimed Wednesday night that a White House aide sent him an email saying he would "regret" his comments. The aide was not identified, but an official familiar with the exchange told Fox News it was National Economic Council Director Gene Sperling. That was after Woodward wrote a column this past weekend claiming Obama was trying to re-write history -- regarding not only whose idea the sequester was, but also how it would take effect.

Along with this comes the uproar at immigration over the release of jailed illegals....Obama says he was not AWARE and did not APPROVE this release of prisoners (due to looming budget cuts). Yet, the offical who made the decison is still employed. The White House did say he is set to retire next month.
Obama's senior advisor Valerie Jarrett is on record as saying after the last election; “After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”
What does all this have to do with your discussion topic. To me, it is clear we have a man in the oval office who thinks and acts like and thinks like a dictator. He does not 'govern', he RULES. And the FEAR of him in Congress, even amongst the GOP...is becoming very obvious. Very few will stand up to him, and those that do are threatened.

Even LIBERAL journalist Lanny Davis says he was threatened by White House officals because of what he wrote about Obama in his column.
Since when does the White House threaten or 'punish' the PRESS for what they report on, or what they say in their reporting?
