Good day my dear Angelpink,
Indeed, money can't really buy happiness. But, there are some things that we need that only money can buy. However, this things can only brought temporary happiness. Hence, this happiness can not be define as a real happiness.

okay but what if your lap top breaks and you need it e paired and your friend will do it for free will that happiness be less because it did mot involve money? There are things money cannot buy whether you believe this or not.love, friendship;, the world of nature, the sun and moon and stars, the waking up each day those do not cost money. Are they worth less because they did noot cost
anything?

Yes yes Hatley i agree with you ! I didn't said that all things can be bought by money , yes like our friendship with Mylot members , the rays of the sun , the morning dew , the smile of your neighbors and so many more . Some source of our happiness can be bought by money !

Hello Ai ! may it be temporary happiness or not , still you were able to feel happiness. I don't believed in temporary happiness or permanent happiness ..it just mean one thing to me , it means happiness period. Money can buy happiness , for instance you want a laptop , isn't it that the moment it was handed in your hand , you were so happy then ?

Hi there ! No not at all , if it is just moderate. When i do Mylotting i eat chocolates because some studies says chocolates makes us brilliant and happy. Those people who are sick yet so happy are the people have tasted the beauty of life . They are the fulfilled people ! They are the people who have accepted life's reality.

Hi!
Happiness is a subjective issue. If chocolates and cakes etc. which are material things and are ephemeral give your happiness it is OK. To have it you would need some money. Like-wise for travelling to a certain place, you will need money.
Internal happiness which is felt by us can not be bought by money. If someone's smile makes you feel happy, you just can not purchase that smile. You won't ask the person that you would pay him to smile. His smile is priceless and it is natural. He smiles on his own, he does not fake his smile for some price.
Hope I could clear your point.

Hi ! Isn't it that when we are comfortable it gives us happiness also ? It is impossible to be sad when life gives you so much comfort and that comfort comes from the money that you have.

Hi Angelpink,
You were too literal in your perception here, of course those material things you were pertaining can give you happiness but is it the true sense of the phrase? True happiness cannot be bought no matter what. You can have every material things money can buy and surround it to yourself but you cannot be happy if the one you love weren't around.

well money is too important in the life, money can make lots of happiness but money is not everything to make heppiness, that is just a way to make us happier that what we already are. and I think it is all depends to us that what is the meaning of happiness for each of us. there are people who have no money but live happily as they have made happiness within their hearts for no main reason, they are just happy as they breath, as they can see things, so it is all depends to us that what is meaning of happiness for us and what is making us happy but money is the way to make some of our dreams come true and for that we will be happier.

Traveling overseas can make me feel happy. I have been to more than 60 different countries on my travels. Along my way I found my favorite countries that I have been to. These are Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Belize and the Seychelles.
The best things to have in life are happiness, good health and good luck. If a person is in very poor health with lots of pain he or she is unlikely to enjoy the traveling to the different countries.
I came home from my trip to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands in the spring of 2002. I felt very poor and I had a huge credit card bill. I found a teaching job beginning in the autumn however I didn't know how I was going to live for months without much money. I wondered where I would go to in 2003 having so little money. I decided to get a 20 hour a week job in a shop. I cycled there and back five times a week to work. I was able to go supermarket shopping once or so a week on my way home. I booked a cheap flight to Trieste for June.
Off I went the evening before my flight to Italy. I spent that night in my sleeping bag and camping mat on the floor of that London airport. On my trip I did a mixture of camping and staying the odd night in youth hostels plus a private room. I visited Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia. I traveled by bus mostly and one train. It was a lovely trip and it was all done very low budget.

I caught the travel bug in my teenage years. In my childhood I wished to grow up and explore the world. I have not got all that much money. I am a low budget traveler and stay in cheap guest houses. I am always going to need at least one trip per year even when money is very tight.

Money cant buy happiness surely, but it definately can help you be happy. I mean travelling needs money. How much you spend on it is subjective. Meeting friends can cost money at times, but again where and how we meet is up to us. Watching a movie gives me happiness. But watching a movie can cost me money. Watch a play, listening to music, debating on mylot, reading books, playing with toys, playing some game with friends all needs some amount of money. Yes the amount of money can vary. Some people spend lakhs of rupees and still cant find happiness in all that they do. And some may spend just a few hundreds on the same kind of things but they still find happiness.

Spending a little doesn't matter because it depends on the satisfaction of a person . Some people are happy with crude , ordinary , local things while others can never be satisfied though they are having glittering diamonds in the fingers.

Money can buy happiness friend , your example says it all ! If we travel we need bulk of money . If we go for unwinding like watching movie we need money , if we are starving and we eat out we need money . To anything that we are doing and we wanted to do , the most basic thing to have is money.

i had an officemate who was only 1 tricycle ride from the office, while i had to ride a tricycle, bus, and jeep. our office was also near several malls. when i don't feel like going home yet, i'd tell her i'd "buy" her time and company, meaning i want to spend some time malling and chatting and i'll pay for our dinner. it's a running joke between us. i didn't mind spending because we enjoy each other's company and i know she needs to budget her money because she's just renting and her family is in the province.

So she spend for the things that makes her happy such as chatting and eating with you ! - no, not she, me. it's me who spends money on her. we don't belong to the same department so we only get to talk during our lunch break and, of course, 45 mins is not enough. that's why at the end of the workday, i don't feel like going home yet. it's just like when you're still students. you hang out in school or somewhere else with your classmates after class before going home. i said it's a running joke between us because i tell her i'm acting like a cheating husband taking out a callgirl.

hmmmmmm...
it can't buy happiness, because after eating chocolates and cakes, you will gain weight or tooth ache.. that would not be happy....
If you travel... you might stumble and cross swindlers or stumble on a rock and bruise your knees. and besides, you will have bodyache.. that's not happy.
hahaha... just making a funny thing here, I hope no offense taken.
depends on the thought of money, and money is essential that's why we work, even here in mylot to earn a few.

Hi Mavic .Hahahaha you made my day ! Eating chocolates and cakes can't make you big because you bought also treadmill for your exercise session after eating and you do jogging everyday , so no problem in getting weight pus it won't give you a toothache because your teeth have no cavities , no tooth decays so no pain you will experience. While travelling safety measures are always given the priority also you won't mind bruises if you felt all happiness , Bruises are package of that happiness. .. come will travel together someday..but first we need to work and work here so we can have bulks of money , enjoy going around and buy those things that makes us smile !

I have a new conclusion. "Money cannot buy happiness for people who cannot afford it." So okay, you can buy happiness. But its humans nature to strive more and more and gain and experience what their lives can give. But there will always be something more than what you have or what you can have. If you've travelled, I'm quite sure you'd want to travel again, and one day you'll get tired of traveling and you'll want something else. We will all get bored with whatever we do at one point in time. The cycle continues. You want something, you work hard for it, you get it, you get tired of it, you want something else.

Hi,angel!
Here is what I am thinking.you are happier if you ues money to buy whatever you want, like those chocolates and cakes you like and the places you want to travel.
It is easy to get these things that can be bought with money. But try to think those things cannot be bought with money easily.Do you think you could still buy your happiness with money? And what if some people's happiness is not about material? So I went to my conclusion:if material is what you want then money can buy your happiness, otherwise,it can't.

Love can be learnt , some arranged marriage , couples becomes happy in marriage life because they learn to love each other . Such as a wealth to do man marrying a less fortunate lady , maybe at first woman didn't love that man but because of compulsion in life was able to marry but as time fly , she was able to learn to love that man..so in this situation i can say money can buy love.

Of course money is very important in life, and it may be from the sources of obtaining happiness. But it is not everything, you may be money, but you lack the companionship and friendship that builds on love.
An example is the famous actress Marilyn Monroe, she was not happy in the last days of her life, because she realized that people love and friendship not only to her character, but to the great richness.
eating chocolates and cakes , travel and travel are not everything in life.
True happiness is to be likeable among the people. And have an influential role in this life.

Happiness is in satisfaction of reality in which we live, and being convinced with what is in our hands.
Because the human psyche often be no limits to their wishes, it is difficult to get the full and absolute happiness.
There is talk of the our messenger Muhammad, be smarter prayers and peace, he said:
" Who was secure in his property, healthy in body and has sustenance enough in his day, like him, such as who possesses world and everything in ".
My best regards.

Hi Friend, Really what you have discussed is true the money cant bring happiness. Money is required for each and every sort of things you buy or you travel. While you are in tour with your friend or someone close will bring fun and not the real love which make you happy. Every small things can be bought by money not the love. Have a good day.

Yes , you got a point there , money is basic in our daily life. Try not to have a single penny a day , let us see if you can smile with a starving stomach. It is so hard to be happy if bills are getting high and deadline is coming.

hi Angelpink,
i understand your point clearly and i do agree with you. you are actually buying your happiness using money because your happiness is eating chocolate and you can easily get some chocolates with money.
and besides happiness, we also hear people said money can't buy health. but in order to be healthy, we need to eat nutritious food, clean food, organic food, supplements, vitamins, etc. which need to be purchased with money. to remain healthy, we also need to do full medical body checkup from time to time which also need a lot of money to be able to do so.
how about time? we also heard people said money can't buy time. but if we have money, we can hire maids or personal assistants to do a lot of things for us, for instance, paying the bills, sending children to the school, cooking, cleaning, washing, etc. then, every day we will have extra time to do many other things especially to plan for traveling to overseas.
so, in one sense, we are actually buying our happiness, our health, our time with money, don't you think so?

There is no way that money can buy your happiness. You see, happiness isn't something that comes from the toys that you have or the food that you eat. Happiness is something that comes from the relationships and other interactions that you have with other people in your life.
I mean you could be the richest person in the world and never have any kind of interpersonal relationships and that person would definitely be a person that isn't happy at all.

Some draw their happiness from what their money can afford. To some happiness means from those material thing that can satisfy them and to others also , happiness comes from unseen things such as our interaction with our neighbor , from a silly conversation with a friend or a stranger . Happiness is so broad , that we can not define it for others.

Money is just a bartering tool really. It is what we need to get things we need. Like Food and clothes and so on. But true happiness does not come from money. Yes, we do need money to buy that chocolate or those trips, but real true happiness comes from within us and it is totally free. Sometimes the simple things in life are the best and are also free.
