Oscar night party here.............

I watched some of the Oscar's. But I have to say if it weren't for Seth MacFarlane it would not have been that good. I have seen way better Oscar's in the past. But I bet that the party was more fun then the Oscar's were.

Yes, I did watch it last night. I watched the whole thing. I enjoy watching these kinds of shows. It looks like you correctly predicted some of the winners! I can't say that I was disappointed by the show nor by any of the people or films that won last night. All in all it was a good night and a good show. I'm glad that your friend had a party and that you decided to go. That's always a lot of fun!

I try not to watch the award shows. I don't know who said it exactly but the jist of who wants to watch rich tv/movie/music people wearing super expensive outfits and pushing the designer they are wearing. It's like watching late night talk shows it seems after the monologue it's nothing but promotion for that celebrity's latest gig. On the other hand as a social occasion why not? I hope you had a good time at your friends place.

It was a week of gala and i enjoyed the show totally with wonderful and great elegant display of music and entertainment in los angeles

I really wanted to hold a party this year and participate in the contests. I too thought Robert de Niro would win for silver linings and I dont think Jennifer Lawrence's performance was that amazing. But she was still good. Like many I was rolling my eyes at Anne Hathaways disingenuine thank you speech i wouldnt say i hate her though thats a bit much.

Here in Portugal it starts very late in the evening, sleeping time for me, but there are people in here that stays all night long awake to watch the Oscars.

I am pleased to hear that Anne Hathaway got an award, she was brilliant in The Devil Wear Prada, no, I don't watch these kind of shows to be honest.

Since the academy has been awarding Best Picture awards to films that does not agree with me, I have given up on them. Lately, these shows have been used by celebrities to voice their own personal agendas which to me is irrelevant and most of all, distasteful. I felt that they are being unprofessional and unethical to do such a thing and deserve to have their awards removed on the spot - even when they deserve to win for their performance. I did not know what and how the film Argo could deserve the win but I suppose it's the committee's taste decision. As for the Best Director, I believe it is either Cameron or Spielburg and as expected Spielburg turned out to be the eventual winner. No surprises here which is why I lost my interest.

I watch the Oscars every year when i can. I agree with you on some of the winners like Anne Hathaway but i'm hoping High Jackman wins for best actor tho i love Robert De Niro. My hubby usually pops corn and gets a drink and settles on the couch to watch and doesn't let a single person talk until a commercial comes on. One of my friends asked me to go dancing with her this Sunday i told her no because I wanted to watch the Oscars. She's not really into them so she just said have fun see you another time. Well have fun at your Oscar party.

No I really do not watch some of these awards shows. I really do not watch the Oscars since I do not see much movies during the year so I do not know anything about movies. I really wanted to see Lincoln but I never did go see it.

I saw this and I think I was not the only one to think of OSCAR PISTORIUS I initially thought - "Hmm little tasteless" Forgive me Maria for thinking the worst. I have no idea who will win anything. What I do know isthat Ben Affleck not being nominated for Best Director is Shameful

I do but not an avid fan. We have the same picks for Best Director and Best Actor but for Best Actress, will go for Jessica Chastain. I don't have picks for other categories :D Have fun with the party!

I dont watch them all that often they tend to put me to sleep time for a nap just turn it on
