Hi dinakaree.
Well everyone goes through rough patches in their career. And Harbhajan Singh is also going through a similar stage. However, he is really working hard to bring back the charm. And I am pretty sure that he will succeed. At least in tests, I believe that he will. His one wicket in the first innings is a shine of hope for him. I hope he performs even better with the ball in the second innings.
Have a nice day !!

Harbhajan was a very good bowler and now he is running out of form. Well he needs confidence. Simultaneously he should remember that he needs to keep his head cool ,and not in the field to fight. Everytime you cannot blame others. He is in midst of all fights in the field. Why??

It is sad to see that Harbhajan Singh is not being played in the third and final test of the series against Australia. Though he didn't show any star performance but he was also not wicketless. Taking 5 wickets at an average of 40 is decent enough. If I was the captain of Indian cricket team, I would have given bhajji one more chance and made him play in this match as well, as we have already won the series.
Have a nice day !!!

On the pitch where Ashwin took 7 wickets, Harbhajan was able to get only 1 wicket and that tells the whole story. He is clearly out of form and I wonder why selectors picked him because he has not performed well in the past also. He clearly needs much more practice at domestic level to improve himself.

I have always had this view about Bhajji that he is a great supporting act, but cannot lead the show on his own. He was a great bowler when bowling alongside Kumble, but his retirement changed things for him. I think in a way the emergence of Ashwin as the leader of the pack, might help Bhajji recover his form a bit.
Cheers!

Yeah, same question I too have. He is the senior most bowler present in the team now. He should lead from the front. In the present series against Australia also he got only one wicket.I think he is bowling well to keep the pressure up. But he is not getting the wicket. He should try different to take the wickets. In my opinion there is no good for him bowling well if he doesn't get wickets.

Due to lot of T20 and ODI he has lost his innate qualities of off spin bowling. I think every body should take a cue from Graeme Swann and by just seeing his footage Harbhajan can improve a lot. Ashwin line in this series is very close to Swann lenght and that has troubled Australia. So just by looking Swann and hard work in net, he can become once again dangerous bowlwer. Swann is a classical example of off spin in current era.

Harbhajan is currently the only playing spinner in world who has more than 400 wickets. But then like many players, he too is going through a rough patch. But the big problem is the patch has been around 2 years now and selectors are looking at the young blood.Given that his career could last 3 -4 years. The timing of things has not been perfect for Harbhajan. He did not have a terrific Ranji season and has not been in best of touch. In the ongoing test, he just got one wicket and it does not help much to help his case either. But then Harbhajan could create havoc especially in subcontinental turfs. He really did well in 2001.If he could repeat atleast glimpses of that performance, things could really help for him.He is grat bowler and usual at times while batting. So if he applies himself and get into things like how Sourav did a few years ago, things could be good for him.He might need to get back the rhythm he had as a turbanator. And compared to bowlers we have, he has some challenge to Ashwin if not for Ojha. 5 wicket haul somewhere down the line should boost his confidence and get things going for Harbhajan singh. Thanks!
