My daughter has her dad's mom's name and my mother's middle name to represent both mothers. Plus my middle name is the same as hers, so we started a tradition.
My son is a little more unique. His first name is representing two of my uncles. My parents both have a sibling with same name. However, my mother's brother passed on when he was barely a week old. My dad's brother, is one of my favorite uncles. My son has two middle names. The first is to represent his grandfather. He the patriarch of the family. The second is to represent the father's brother. He was born prematurely and had health problems, so he overcame a lot of obstacles. The father wanted to show his love for his brother.
That's how I have Patricia Dianne and Michael WilliamScott. My pride and joy :D

They have both a wonderful names to call for your children. Most of the parents of today likes double names for their children.I think that was the trend of today.

I do like names for kids that are different and not that common as long as they are not silly weird and such. Like for girls i like Sydney Isabella Kayla. Names like that that are a but uncommon but not weird. I do not think i would ever make up a name for my kid because they might get made fun of just for it not being a real name. I certainly wouldn't give my kids names like famous people do such as Apple peaches Moses etc. tho right now i do not have kids but if i ever do (and i want some badly) i wouldn't give them these kind of names. I would give them names that are a bit unusual but not strange or weird. You made up names for your kids and that is fine since they are not weird names. Tho i don't think i could make up names for my kids.

I appreciate your concern Redredrose, that names for children should should not just sound good but also suits their appeal. There are names really that does read very badly or it denotes bad words, yet due to the fact it was given to your child. You have
to pronounce it well to not make any funny feeling towards calling your child.

I have 5 children three boys and two girls. I have basic names I choose for my oldest Matthew Isaac just because I love those teo names, my next oldest is Mark David he is named after his uncles Mark Joseph and James David, my daughter is Taylor Ann just because I liked th name Taylor for a girl and her middle name is Ann after her God mother Melanie Ann, my next son and youngest daughter Nicholas Sean and Kayla Nicole where a combintaion of a choice of me and their father. I think haveing strange names for our children is a bit much at times but its a unique choice to the parents however i think the consideration of how a "different" name will affect our kids as they grow up and are subjected to peer pressure.

You are correct their my friend that choosing a name for our children depends on the choice of the parent what they like to call their children. The names of your children are double names, yet I find their names not unusual,as they are popular names from people around.Good luck to all your family members.
