Is it ok to stay away from AA?

Hello everyone. As of Feb. 19th I am officially five months sober. Woohoo! I have been doing it on my own through just keeping busy and staying positive. I don't actually attend AA meetings though. Originally I went to a 30 day treatment center in september and attended meetings through there but I don't think they are for me. I am a private person and don't like the whole AA setting. i have been doing well without it and am just wondering if anyone else has an opinion on this. Any similar stories?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation very well and i think u have done the right way by staying positive and not liking those meetings. u have your own opinions and if u are doing fine without it then u should not bother about its existence.
